I am an English student in college hoping to get in to creative writing. What a better way to practice than to write fanfiction for the stories I love and receive feedback? : )

I'm a huge Phantom of the Opera "phan." I think the story is absolutely beautiful. Plus the Phantom is probably my favorite character of all time. I'm a Christine/Erik fan (most girls are), but I don't think Raoul is as evil as some people portray him. That being said, I am not a fan of his. His character is dull and one-dimensional. He's the typical good-looking guy with plenty of money blah, blah, blah. There's no meat to his character. As for the Christine, Erik loves her so I suppose I must do so as well. Although I tend to make her a lot stronger of a character in my stories than she has been portrayed in other works. I guess I just want to give Erik the Christine he deserves.

I like the stage musical more than the movie. However, I do really like the movie. It's one of my favorites. It is what got me hooked on POTO. Then I saw the show on stage and well...obsession ensued. I've read the Gaston Leroux novel and Phantom by Susan Kay. I think Kay's novel is fantastic. It's a good book for anyone, but a must for anyone that's a "phan."
