Author has written 4 stories for Silmarillion, and Lost.

My Stories

I am a big Lord of the Rings fan, so I normally only read and write Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion fan fics. I don't have a lot of free time to write stories, so I tend to do more reading than writing! My first story, Flowers of Nimloth, has recently been completed. It is an exploration of the political and religious climate in Numenor before its fall, the reactions of certain characters to the impending fall, and a little romance thrown in for good measure! I was very surprised and honored when Flowers of Nimloth was nominated for the 2007 MEFA's!

Under Silver Moon and Golden Sun can be read as a sequel to Flowers of Nimloth, or can be read as a stand-alone story. This story was a bit of an experiment for me: it is written in present tense instead of my usual past tense, and I tried to make the language a bit more poetic as compared to the rather straight-forward narrative of Flowers of Nimloth. You can decide whether I succeeded!

Our Choice was also an experimenet since it was my first attempt at writing drabbles. Normally, with every revision my stories get substantially longer; thus, cutting the drabble drafts down to only 100 words was a challenge for me!

I also have some very rough drafts and ideas for additional stories floating around, but I don't know if any will actually come to fruition and result in a story good enough to post. :)

You can also view all of my stories at my webpage: Scrolls of Armenelos

Finally, I do have one non-Tolkien story: Genesis of a Curse, which is basically a Lost plot bunny that jumped into my head and wouldn't let go until I wrote it down :)

A Little About Myself

I am 26 years old and am currently working as a software engineer. I have been married for three years, and my husband works as an accountant. My husband is an excellent beta-reader, and he prevented me from posting an embarrasing number of typos in Flowers of Nimloth! (Unfortunately he is currently very busy studying for the CPA exam so he has not beta-read my other stories!) No children yet, but we have two hyperactive cats that keep us rather busy! During what little free time I have, I enjoy pursuing more artistic hobbies to give my brain a break from all the logical thinking required in computer programming. In addition to reading and writing fan fics, I enjoy drawing, painting, jewelry-making, scrapbooking, and reading. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I do love the show Lost, and every Thursday (or Friday, this year) I spend time analyzing the episodes with my coworkers!

Note on My Favorites

Once I add an author to my Favorite Authors list, I will remove their stories from my Favorite Stories list to keep my lists from getting so cluttered. If an author is on my Favorite Authors list, you can assume that I have read and enjoyed at least most of their stories! (If they write fan fiction for multiple works, then I have probably only read their LOTR and Silmarillion fics!)
