Angst/Dark-Humor/Romance If you don't know or remember my hounding (day and night!) the Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction section; my style of writing is certainly Angst. I despise Mary Sue's and shy away from Lemons. That's not to say, however, that I don't enjoy a good face squinting now and again! Many of my completed works have long since been discarded. Upon completing Neo-Yu-Gi-Oh! and Half-Life: Yu-Gi-Oh!, I've officially retired from Yu-Gi-Oh! Works. My passion that started, oh, I want to guess about 3 or 4 years ago was Final Fantasy 9. I was involved with several Role-Play groups and played the fanatical role of Kuja more times than I can even begin to shake a stick at. I never like to blow my own horn but I certainly am proud of (time and time again) being complimented at my undying accuracy to protray him nearly spot-on in my writings, role-plays and dialogue. A lot, of which, I owe to my angst writing. There truly is a fine line between angst and out-of-character Works. To those that find the perfection marred not from out-of-character silliness, their writings are truly a work of art. I'm trolling the FF9 section trying to find my Muse again. I've constructed a 3-part series that took me months to configure and only now, do I have the time and space within everyday routine to sit down and write. Just need some Muse now and I'll be ready to start throwing out chapters for angst-readers once again. =) Woohoo! I've given thought to writing a few Oblivion fanfictions as well and following the story of my Nord; Mina and her rise and (ultimate) fall within the Dark Brotherhood. That should be lots of fun to write as I'm sure any devoted lover or dark angst and murder/romance would appreciate. My style of writing can get a little tedious as far as descriptivness. I can go off the wall on tangents that can be described as less than kosure and bloody unnecessary. I write more on interpersonal communication than crap pulled out of thin air and thrown together last minute. I like to take time, put effort, and conjure stories that have meaning behind them. Light reads would have to be the extremes of both size spectrums. I love reading elaborate storylines that are chapters and chapters and chapters long. But I also enjoy small, short, and concise readings that aren't borderlining that out-of-character stuff. Egh. That's just filth. Can't wait to jump back into the .Net! I'll see you on the other side! =p DragonWar's Series Children of the Crystal = pending for beginning chapter |
