Author has written 2 stories for Superman, and Carry On. I'm a 32 year old teacher from Florida who discovered a love for fan fiction right after I finished high school. I wrote my first piece that summer inspired by (of all things) the movie Superman Returns (I was a big Lois and Clark/Smallville fan). The fact that the story has gotten over 83,000 views since I published it still astounds me. I thought that would be the end of fan fiction for me, but then I was inspired to write again by the absolutely amazing Simon Snow series written by Rainbow Rowell. I read both books in September 2019 (years after reading Fangirl) and have been a loyal #snowbaz supporter ever since. "There'll Be Peace" has been one of my favorite things to work on that I've only shared with three people I know in real life (including my husband who I had to trade playing through two whole video games and watching the John Wick trilogy to get him to listen to CO/WS audiobooks so he knew what I was talking about half the time). "Any Way the Wind Blows" will no doubt be better than anything I could even imagine, but until then, I'll have this work to go back to whenever I finish rereading Carry On and Wayward Son (which I've already done 3 times in less than a year). If you've never read any of Rainbow Rowell's books, please fix that immediately. I've read everything she has published, including her Runaways graphic novels (except the most recent one that is only available digitally). Not only is her writing amazing, but she has a great relationship with her fans (she once retweeted a picture of me wearing a Watford School of Magicks shirt at Epcot by a UK pavilion poster and said she was delighted by it (cue me screaming when I saw it)). Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to review, favorite, or simply read through "There'll Be Peace." It's nice to know there are others out there who care about #snowbaz as much (and maybe even more) than I do 3 |
