![]() Author has written 3 stories for Hyperdimension Neptunia. "LA LA LA LA LA LA!" -Nepgear, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory I like Neps. What? You were expecting more? Fine. I like to read and write humorous Nep stories. The best part of any HDN games is its comedy so why not expand on the insanity even further? I'm also not a fan of any pairings because some of the series' best comedic moments stems from all the one-sided affections getting thrown around like paintballs in a Monster Hunter convention. After all, it's far more fun to see Noire bonking Neptune on the head over a silly joke than to see her making hot, passionate love to her in the middle of the night as they- Okay, I'm gonna stop now before this entire account gets banned. I should also note that I'm a sucker for tragedies but seeing as how Nepgear already committed the biggest, most awful, most tragic event in HDN history, I figured Gamindustri has suffered enough without my intervention (Yes, I enjoyed the Conquest Ending; Yes, I know I'm a terrible human being). As for my favorite character, I'd have to say Plutia. I love Mayuri from Steins;Gate for her ditzy yet perceptive personality and Plutia is practically an evil clone of her with a mile long sadistic streak (the fact that she has the same Japanese VA just adds to the comedy value). As adorable and hilarious as I find her though, I'd still be the first one to run away screaming if she ever did end up in the real world. The reason should be fairly obvious (Here's a hint: It begins with 'Iris' and ends with 'Heart'). What else? Well, I suppose my favorite game in the series is currently tied between Re;Birth1 and Victory II. Those two just felt like the most complete games to me that also managed to have the perfect mix of story and humor. Plus, I think they captured the essence of each and every character perfectly in those games. On the flip side, I really disliked mk2 and its remake. Nepgear is a great character and all but she was simply not up to the task of carrying the dull and lackluster storyline. This was made even worse by the fact that they turned her into a female version of Shinji Ikari for the first few chapters. Seriously, it was like they were purposefully trying to make Nepgear into an unlikable wimp or something. Still, the Conquest Ending offered an amazing - if horrifyingly depressing - twist and Nepgear still managed to dig up a few good scenes here and there despite her handicap so it wasn't the absolute worst thing to ever occur. And... I think that's really about it for now. I hope this has been at least a semi-interesting read for all of you. I'll probably put some more random stuff here eventually when I feel like it. For now though, I'm off to join Neptune in becoming a kangaroo! Byoing~! |
