This is one of those stories that work their way into your head like a bothersome advert. It is a dark imagining, at first, of Alice Harvey's youth and crosses over into Miss Fisher territory, in fact it's almost a half and half. I shall be posting it on that stream.

A dark imagining of the beginning of Alice Harvey's journey to being a doctor. Half Dr Blake, half Miss Fisher, mainly Dr Mac, alreday posted on the Blake site and on AO3. One of those stories that came into my head like a bothersome advert or an ear worm.

So, I wept my way through Les Miserables at the weekend and came up with this. For some time I have wondered what would have happened if Phryne and Rene had had a child together. I finally found a way to write this story which will have multiple chapters and will be updated slowly. Though I have time to write the muse had taken a holiday. Enjoy.

Alice is summoned to Sydney, a city she left and had hoped never to return to. There she finds her life will change - but Matthew will be with her, every step of the way.

Henry arrives in Melbourne with a devastating mission - the only thing that could shatter Phryne's heart. This story was lurking on my computer for some time but after reading another story in which the subject is touched on I decided the try and finish it. Sorry for the rubbish title. Ch2 is a little closer to M.

Jack has finally followed Phryne, with a little help from a surprising source. They now need to get home, but as with all things involving Phryne it won't be straightforward. This started out as a one shot 'miserable Phryne without Jack' story, but, after a period of writer's block I think I may have the beginnings of a multi chapter. I shall update as I can.

Well, it's been a while, severe writer's block has hit. I found this lurking on my computer and decided I'd try to finish it. It followed on from the story of Jock Clement and his attempted liaison with Genevieve Blake. Some many stories end with no finality, I am hoping this will close out this one.

A soldier meets a nurse, WW1 the rest is history. A slightly AU meeting and summary of two detectives. Now to be updated on a story by story basis. Short stories featuring Phryne-Rose. Also published on AO3, AStitchinTime is my other pen name, in case anyone is worried about plagiarism on either side.

Having re watched seasons 1 & 2 I now wonder why Aunt P didn't comment on the blood on Phryne's hands in Death at Victoria Dock, and that she had come home without her blouse. It seemed cold, almost callous that she didn't even remark on it, or have the slightest reaction. Here's my take on what should have happened.

Having binge watched the Miss Fisher Modern Murder Mysteries I wondered how the Sparrow situation could be resolved. I came up with this, a solution of sorts, an answer to the questions we are all asking: where is Phryne; what happened to Jack; all the other characters we know and love from the original series. Hope you like it.

A very short story that belongs in the Amelia Chronicles but I have decided to publish separately. Very gentle, easy reading. Written for a small group of children that struggle with English comprehension and reading.

The next installment of Emily and George. Starts out a bit smutty but hopefully levels out. Emily and George become closer but will someone try to stop them becoming a family with the children she adopted?

Chapter 1, A Crooked Smile. This is my first foray into the Murdoch fandom as a writer. I usually write for Dr Blake or Miss Fisher. I have never liked Emily Grace leaving and have often wondered if I could get her back. This is a little idea I had which I hope you like. There are 3 chapters.

This had to be the daftest/worst idea I have had for a story, but, having written it I shall publish and be damned! Another what happens when Phryne takes her father home and how does she get back to her found family in Melbourne. Her mother does not get good press in this.

How does Phryne Fisher return to Melbourne after flying her father back, and what changes to her life will happen. All chapters will be published together, as it is written and it took a long time.

A short story from the prompt of Someone you loved, by Lewis Capaldi. I originally challenged Fadedpromise to write a snippet prompted by this song. She kinda challenged me back, so here it is, hope you like it.

Set just after Phryne and her family move to England. Timescale is vague but sometime before 1914, Phryne is perhaps 12-14 years old, so her father would have inherited the title after the Boer War, to give Phryne chance to be educated in England before nursing during WW1. Decided to update this as an occasional series.

Set directly after the end of Season 3. Phryne had called to Jack to 'come after me' when she ran to the plane. This story imagines what happens when he finally does. because, of course, he tried so hard not to fall in love with her. After the first chapter the action will move to England.

Another idea I had, where Phryne and Jack find out Henry's visit hides some dirty dealings. How will she get him home to face the music?

Inspired by the local festival, and the art works in the church. Jean and Lucien spend some time walking through creation together.

We know that Jean got pregnant before she married Christopher, but ... what if he wouldn't 'do the right thing', by Jean, what if she was left pregnant and thrown out by her parents? Well here goes ...

One day a stranger came to town. Don't ask where I get these odd ideas from, they just appear. Set between s1 and s2 a new member of the team arrives. A sort of introduction to one of my favourite character.

What if ... I have no idea what prompted this story, but it is what it is, a what if story.

A series of chapters that are too long or not part of the main story. Asides, if you will. Each will have a title that tells where it comes in which story. They aren't related to each other, a series of one shots. They can be read with the story the are attached to or read as stand alone stories.

What happens on when Phryne attempts to take her father back to England. Any journey with Henry was never going to be easy. This was supposed to be a one shot, but ran on so all chapters will be published quickly, as it has been written and finished. I hope you enjoy this story.

A story idea from HeartoftheWild. What happens when milk goes missing from the doorstep. What happens next changes Jean and Lucien's ideas of ways to welcome children into their home.

A Matthew and Alice story that I had the germ of the idea for before Christmas but had little time to write anything. Sequel to Reconciled the one where Alice's mother came to stay and driven by Matthew's comment of going to England for Christmas. There will be perhaps two more chapters but no plans to make it any longer. Bit domestic - not much happens.

Inspired by an Art Deco Christmas card I sent to some friends. Jack and Phryne meet after her trip taking her father back to England.

Some readers had said how they like Jean and Lucien looking after Amelia. I am attempting to write a series of stories featuring the hitherto unseen granddaughter of the now Mrs Blake. Shoot me if you think I've got it wrong.

Jean and Amelia go to help with a harvest. An accident brings the family together, and may separate some.

The working title for this was Dot goes Rogue, which should give you some idea of the line this story takes. Phryne's free lifestyle choices lead Dot to take stock of her relationship with Hugh and how they can move forward.

For some time I have wondered what would happen if Alice Harvey's mother turned up. Why and what does she have to say. This was supposed to be a short one shot and ended up rambling away by itself, all I ask is that you be kind.

An occasional series delving into the early years of the doctor, from the death of his mother through his time at boarding school. There may be adventures, certainly mischief but the first chapter is an introduction.

Lucien goes away, for a long time. A thought in why he is missing for 18 months, how it impacts Jean and her life, and what happens to him. Something of a ramble which I am not particularly sure about but until we know what is going on perhaps ...

A little story for the yr 6 challenge over Easter. To be honest I'm not sure about this but as I have written it I'm posting it. The prompt was a picture of a pair of old boots set side by side in the forest.

AU, set 100 years in the future, Phryne invests in a new way to get around. Prompted by a writing challenge for yr 6 pupils, a picture of 3 balloons joined, with some kind of motor on the top. Completely out of my comfort zone here, please be kind.

The stories in this stream are a result of challenges to my English students. They are required to write a story using the words in their weekly spelling list. The list will be at the top of the story. I encourage my pupils by attempting the same challenge. I hope you enjoy. All will be rated K as the pupils are 11 years or less.

An Alice story, again her back story. When a new family comes to town Alice is forced to confront the harsh reality of her childhood. Warning for images of child abuse.

A Christmas story, Jean and Lucien's first as a married couple. A follow on from 119 days, featuring the usual cast and Lizzie and Clare.

Set straight after the end of the telemovie, one chapter per month, jumping from Ballarat to the honeymoon couple. I had a feeling that Lucien would need a locum; surely the practice didn't fold after Edward's front page; and who better than our favourite pathologist?

Alice reaches out to her sister and becomes Lucien in a skirt. Set at the end and immediately after 5.8.

A little story set in 5.8. How might things have gone when Lucien decided to tell Matthew he solved more cases drunk than the police did sober.

I am not the biggest fan of Rose, and (spoiler alert) having thought she was pregnant, I got to thinking what she would have done, and really, would Charlie have been so remiss as to not use some protection against getting his girlfriend in the family. Warning, this is a very dark story.

Jean goes to see Susan Tyneman with Amelia. A bazaar to raise funds for the hospital is planned, but that's not what ultimately happens. Not knowing anything about Susan's family I have invented one for her, or part of one, anyway.

An Alice and Matthew story. Lucien and Jean are away so Alice is called upon to act as police surgeon, which also means running the Superintendant around and getting more involved than usual.

If you haven't seen 5.4, this contains a spoiler. This story kept me awake all night working out how Jean and Lucien would go forward now.

So Matthew has moved in, wht will the good ladies of Ballarat think?

Set after S2, possibly before S3, but no Amelia, no Mei Lin, so make your minds up. Anyway could just be anytime in the Blake universe.

My first Miss Fisher fan fic but not my first fan fic, I usually write for Dr Blake Mysteries, but I've just finished watching the DVDs to take my mind off back pain, so I thought I'd give it a go. Since Frank is not coming back and I have written stories about him and Alice and included Alice and Lucie-Jean in a recent story I have gone back to the string and this is my take on writing Frank out of Dr Blake. There may be more. K for now. Tissue warning.

This story was commissioned by one of my pupils who asked if he could be in a story, so here it is. Kamrhan is spelt correctly for those of you wondering, and I'm hoping his mother agrees with the way I have portrayed him. I hope you enjoy it.

A story set on the bus to Adelaide. Set along the route, a stopover leaves the doctor and his housekeeper with a puzzle to work out before they can get to Adelaide.

What should have been a short one shot, spelling challenge got a life of it's own. Amelia is spending time with her grandparents while Christopher and Ruby are off somewhere, not telling Jean where or why. Some angst, and Lucien standing up for his wife and step-grandaughter.

This story is credited to Hikerlady, it is her idea which she as generously allowed me to imagine for her. Jean's concerns about her marriage, will she be enough form Lucien, after Christopher, her limited experience, will she satisfy him and he her?

A Lucien and Jean story set sometime after the Dennison Case and before Adelaide. This is the T version of an M story, where they become more than friends.

This is my first M fic, and I have read others but still worry I may have crossed the line too far. Please tell my if I have. I had just planned a sweet K or K story, how far away from that have I gone? I'd like to write another chapter but if I do it will be re-worked and rated T.

A story that came to me while driving. Angst, a case for Lucien and co, the mysteries of man's inhumanity to man.

A period of wild and windy weather leaves the doctor with a puzzle on his hands. Chapter 1 is the light and fluffy start.

A longer than it should be short story. Jean's schooldays and friendships feature in this fic. I've never attended a school reunion, and have not really kept in touch with my school friends. But I feel Ballarat is quite a close community in parts and Jean would still have those she could rely on.

Set some months after the end of S4. Jean and Lucien trying to be all things to all men. Just a doctor and his housekeeper, trying to hide their love from the world. Inspired by the lyrics of a Michael Buble song, 'Close your eyes.' Hope you like it.

An idea that came to me after a conversation with my mother in law, who has lead an interesting life between birth in Belfast and life following her husband around while her served in the RAF. This is based, loosely on a story of her brother and his friends, during WWII.

A one shot, quite long. Set after S4. Mei Lin is not coping well. Having second thoughts and pestering Lucien for help. Threatening Jean and Lucien's relationship. How will Jean and Lucien resolve the situation.

A Matthew and Alice story, following from Managing Matthew. Alice's relationship with her mother is still acrimonious but she has a loving bond with an elder brother. Like many, I'm just borrowing the characters. Hope it is of interest to the dear readers. Rated T.

An Alice story that came to me while watching season 3 'Women and Children'. The idea that Alice was abused as a child has been visited before but this deals with the aftermath of the accusations in the episode.

Jean will always defend her family, including Lucien, well up to a point, but in A Night to Remember' she seems slightly cowed by Munro's nasty comments about Christopher and Jack. So what would have happened if she had leaped to their defence. Not much in the way of the mystery, more a background/fill in. Hope you like it.

Set in 'All that Glitters', Season 1 Ep.9 When Danny sees Mattie in the bridesmaid's dress after Jean had finished making it. What if Danny hadn't let Mattie just go, what if...Not sure if I will add a chapter yet, so maybe it's just a one shot, unless you know better, dear readers!

A look at Jean and Lucien married post S4, and what might have happened if Jack's girlfriend in S2 hadn't miscarried. I've taken into account the fact that he tried in on with Mattie even though his girlfriend was pregnant. Another Frank and Alice story that got a bit out of hand. Set after the end of 'There's a new world somewhere' and 'Pulled' It reveals more of Alice's family life and the strained relationship between her and her mother.

A way to bring Mattie home, but not connected to 'Of children...' Rather angsty, for which I apologise. Inspired by an interview I heard about 1960's unmarried mothers. Reviews and comments very welcome.

I've just been watching a reality dancing show and it brought to mind the time Lucien danced with Mattie; but what if she couldn't master the waltz?

Ruby champions Jean and Lucien, when Jean rushes back to Ballarat because of Matthew. Inspired by Seven dragons back stories of minor characters.

This story centres on Jean learning more about Blake's world and that, as some have said, she might be getting above her social standing. It is inspired by taking a class of 10-11 years' old pupils to an opera workshop, which opened their eyes to another type of music and the background to putting on a production. The choice of La Traviata is mine, one of my favourite operas.

Ok, I've just found out that Frank is not coming back for season 5. Not a happy bunny! So here is a a way that Frank and Alice can continue their relationship without him being in Ballarat. I've done the long distance relationship thing, but I don't think I will end it like mine did; 9lb3oz screaming baby girl!

I've been watching the DVD's and have just gone back to season 1. This is a little idea I had about Jean's reaction to Joy and her relationship with Lucien. I never thought Joy was right for Lucien, too flirty, and I like Jean flirting later in the seasons.

Have to admit I'm not sure about this, but if I don't publish it I'll never know. It's just Jean and Lucien thinking about what the night holds for them as newly weds. Let me know what you think.

A little insight into domestic bliss in the Blake household post marriage. Nothing too taxing.
