Welcome to my niche!

This is all very new for me, so if you read my story please review it; I will improve quicker that way. I began writing because I felt a need to put the characters back into character, and keep their roles straight. Most all my writing occurs after The Last Command. I base all the characters on how Zahn treated them, and the way he has them interact with each other.

I hope to set some common misconceptions straight in my stories, let me know if I succeed of not. For example, what's with Mara always running all over Karrde and his crew? Karrde is her boss, and she understands too well the chain of command. She does have an anger problem, but I can't recollect wrath just oozing out of every pore when someone says a comment that isn't in her favor. And Luke is not a whelp that can't think on his own, or handle Mara's occasional anger outbreaks. He is very resourceful,smart, and can think on his feet just as well as Mara. Leia is not a control freak in every aspect of Luke's life, and Han can do more than just swagger and drink correlian brandy.

And finally, my biggest pet peeve, Luke does not have unlimited powers! The Force does not make him invincible, he makes combat mistakes, and he doesn't always beat the odds. And he can't go from being almost dead to combat-readiness with a few hours in a healing trance. Same with Mara. Zahn was always trying to downplay Luke's powers, with good reason. Look at the Jedi in Episodes I - III: they don't have unreasonable power. Even the sith, from Episodes I - VI, didn't have the power that Luke is often given. So, in my stories you may find less Force-salvation than you like, but I hope to keep it at a fair balance.

So there is my Fan Fic Philsophy all laid out. Please let me know if I go too far in any direction, ie., Mara is too passive and submissive and Luke is too smart or too prone to injury. And if you think I am completely mangling Force-usage, let me know!
