Author has written 6 stories for Star Wars. I love to write and am a late to the party Star Wars fan (Episode I). I don’t even remember what I was searching for the day I found you people, but there was no turning back. From that day, I have read everything I could get my hands on. Your stories have made me laugh and cry and scream with frustration (Augh, a WIP that has not had an update in 6 months, how cruel!). I have always written just for myself but have decided it was time to post (with a little help). LT Azizah – female Arabic name meaning cherished or precious When I was growing up my favorite place in the whole world was the house next door, where a Saudi emigrant lived along with his wife, a schoolteacher from Liverpool, England and their five daughters. Their house was messy and full of screaming and laughter and wonderful smells and feminine passion and vitality. It was a refuge for me from my own house, which was by comparison too normal and too full of boys. All five of the girls had very proper English names, but their father called them all Azizah. And because I was always there, I was Azizah too. His daughters rolled their eyes and snapped their gum (these were very American girls despite their exotic looks) and tolerated it. I loved it. Their father died when we were in high school, so I have not been called Azizah for many years, but I have wonderful memories of growing up with my five Azizah sisters and so I have decided to be Azizah once again. |
