ANNOUNCEMENT: To those of you who can't be bothered by long speeches, here it is in short: I am basically stopping my activities on this site probably for good.

Explanation: I am old... not in real life, of course, but in comparison to the target demographics of this website (which I assume, perhaps unfairly, are tweenagers and teenagers), I am. Therefore, unless I am extremely enthusiastic about a book/movie/etc, most of my things are put on hold indefinitely. Unfortunately, I've lost my momentum for most of my stories. I generally write what I want to read, and I'm glad that my meager works have managed to find an audience that enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

To quote Garrison Keiller, "Be well, do good work, and keep in touch." (not too sure about that last part) Maybe someday I'll be back.

Update 1/26/12: I watched "North and South," "The Great Sperm Race" (a documentary about sex narrated by Richard Armitage), and some judicious clips of "Between the Sheets" all around the same time and was struck by an extremely inappropriate PWP about John and Margaret, so if you don't mind reading about panting bosoms and such, check it out.

Also, I might go through and clean up some of the my old stories to be less... teenaged. I will leave the texts of the stories untouched, since they provide a sort of nostalgia for me, but the author's notes and story descriptions may undergo significant revisions (mainly, since I'm venturing into the wonderful world of grownups, I am a bit uncomfortable with some of the sentiments expressed in them. Essentially, I am sanitizing all of my internet presences, including this one XP). Basically, if some of my older stories pop up on your radars again, don't be too excited; they're not really being added to in any significant fashion.
