![]() Author has written 5 stories for Boondocks. I started coming on to the site in 2013, created an account in 2015 (at least that’s what the site says) and now this year I’m finally writing a profile. Don’t really know what to say so I’ll just wing it. Name: Well it’s not Katey like my username. Can’t reveal my actual name but I can say that my real name does start with an M Age: Early 20’s About Me: (Gonna be brief with it) I love almost everyone and am kind to everyone (Just how I am, really don’t know why?), I tend to be insecure but am willing to help and encourage others mostly b/c I never really had a lot of it when I was younger. I also suffer a bit from social anxiety which tends to be a pain in the ass at times especially if the people around you don’t know or really completely understand what you’re going through but I take one step at a time. Plus, my friends who do know about my troubles help and encourage me all the time and I write too. Writing is something I like to do b/c it’s a great stress release and gives you a chance to escape reality and dive in to fantasy which I believe we all need to do every once in a while. But all in all I just want everyone to be happy and to be kind to one another (childish and a bit naïve but it’s true). The more I wrote the more I fell in love with it. Now writing is officially my favorite hobby. Location: Well I live in New York. About an hour away from the big apple. Occupation: I currently work as a cashier and I’m also a nursing student Fav Colors: Blue is the #1 and second fav would be purple Stories: In terms of writing, I’m mostly write about the Boondocks. In terms of reading though, I do pretty much read any kind of story My Original characters: Elaina Freeman-McCarter: She is the Freeman brother's babysitter and later on adopted sister. She is also Caesar’s biological cousin. I created Elaina in 2013 b/c I was kinda frustrated at the fact that Huey was always alone in the series and the fact there wasn’t a lot black females or even females in general that were respectable or relatable. Plus I wanted there to be away for Caesar to come to the Boondocks. My 1st story here “New in the Boondocks” was the pilot to intro Elaina and show her relationship with the Freeman’s. As time went on she would of warmed up with the Freeman’s and them with her. She would of ended up moving in due to an incident caused by Granddad himself and would of gotten even closer after finding out that she was the granddaughter of Robert’s best friend. Eventually, the Freeman’s would of legally adopting her and give her their name. People view Elaina as a female version of Huey. However, she's actually a combination of both Huey and Caesar. Rita McCarter: Rita is Elaina's younger sister and another one of Caesar'sbiological cousins. Rita would of followed her sister to Woodcrest and would have been close with the Freeman’s too. However, the Freeman’s would mostly look at Rita as a cousin opposed to a sister like they do with Elaina. Rita in a way can be looked at as a female version of Riley. She's just as mischievous and trouble making. However, the differences are she's a bit of a wild card and seems to be kinda like a gold digger at first. Though this quickly diminishes after a while. Secretly, she's kinda a math nerd, since she seems to be very good at math. Rita is younger than Elaina by one year. Melissa (Missy) Radclife: Melissa is basically Elaina’s Jazmine or really somewhat as a mature version of Jaz. Monica Radclife: She was created as a balance for Jazmine and Cindy. Plus, her relationship with her sister was somewhat inspired by Huey’s authority like role with Riley Marcus Evans: As stated before is basically a cooler version of Tom DuBois. He does resemble Tom but there are differences between them. Like in hair (his hair is thick and is somewhat similar to a mini afro) and frame (he’s slightly muscular), etc. He and Tom do have a lot of similarities though, and the same can be said with Jazmine and him too. They actually have a brother/sister like relationship. He is also a romantic interest for Elaina. Their relationship is pretty similar to Juey but the one notable diff btw them is Elaina is a bit more open to Marcus the Huey is with Jazmine. Rubaline (Ruby) McCarter: She is Elaina, Rita, and also Caesar's grandmother. She is also an old friend of Robert Freeman. She's very close with all of her grandkids, as opposed to Robert who has an "interesting" relationship with the boys. She and Robert have a love/hate friendship. They are often arguing like an old married couple. The boys do look at her as their surrogate grandmother. She is also best friends with Aunt Cookie. She's also known for being more violent and scarier then Robert when it comes to discipline. The inspiration for this character was actress Jenifer Lewis. I grew up watching this woman since I was a kid. She was always so funny and so lovable, I figured she would make an awesome grandmother. Turns out I was right as she currently is on T.V. playing said role. My Current Stories: I'm Grown: Life is filled with a lot of things. Unexpected curveaballs, trials to face and hard decisions to make. Good thing I got my friends to have my back. Or at least they should have my back. (My newest story. Inspired by a Korean drama that followed a similar concept) Rude Awakening: I have the perfect life. I live in a great town, have amazing friends and I have the best parents ever. Life couldn't be better. That is until a new face shows up and changes everything I thought I knew about my life. (Author's Note: This is my first official Juey story) Power Surge: Power is defined to be the ability to do something or act in a particular way. If you were given an extraordinary gift, what would you do with this newly found power? Would you don a cape and become a superhero? Mess around and just have fun with it? Or would you just let the thrill of that power slowly take you? Will its effect better your life or just make it more complicated? (Inspired by the film Chronicle) Completed Stories: Nurse Jazmine: When our favorite revolutionary gets sick, Jazmine takes it upon herself to take care of him. But is she doing more harm than good?(Author's Note: Technically this was my first Juey story but this was more like a Juey moment) Abandoned Stories: The Next Kung-Fu Wolf B*h: In an effort to regain her confidence that she lost after being mugged, Elaina asks Huey to teach her martial arts. But what will be the consequences of her gaining this new sense of power. Not Another Grandkid?! or It's a Girl: After Grandad destroys her apartment, Elaina moves in with the Freeman's. Can the Freeman clan deal with a girl(who's not sleeping with their Grandfather) living in the house. Can Elaina handle living with the Freeman's and being around them 24/7? (Author's Note: I could never pinpoint the right title) Masquerade: Huey has been acting very strange. He has been harassing the mailman, he shot Ruckus with a BB gun, squirted everyone with a water gun and has been seen hanging out with Ed and Rummy. Is Huey going through some kind of rebellious stage or are things not as they appear to be? (This was inspired by an arc that occurred during the comics that followed the same plot) Blue Moon Switch: After crossing paths with a mysterious woman and Huey explicitly insulting her, he and his sister fall under a spell that changes their lives forever. Not to mention causing much confusion amognst family and friends who seem to be losing track of them. Especially when two new faces seem to appear at the exact same places as them. (Author's Note: This one was inspired by a story from a story game app) Freeman Family Roadtrip: Granddad decides to take the Freeman clan on a roadtrip but things are definitely not going as he planned. Plus, just because the Freeman's are away doesn't mean the madness in Woodcrest will stop. A Thin Line between Crazy and Back S Crazy: Granddad has done it yet again. He has found his perfect woman who is everything he ever wanted in a woman. She's so amazing, not even Ruckus can hate her. She's just so perfect, but there's something very off about her. Well according to Huey and Elaina there is. These two can't help but feel that "Miss Perfect" isn't as perfect as she seemed. Are they just being paranoid or are they on to something? (Possible) Future Stories: Changes: Huey Freeman, now thirteen and the rest of the gang deal with all the changes that come with adolescence and puberty. Which also includes a shift in relationships. (Author's Note: This was created around the same time as PS. However, I don't know if I should do this one. So still debating) |
