Instagram: @girlforGod95 (your girl got an instagram guys, look at socially awkward me go...y’all should go follow me, I’ll try to post clean memes, maybe some BTR stuff if I’m motivated enough) As of 2020, I’m working on an original novel! I should be able to balance FF and my book, but in case there’s a lag in my updating schedule, you know why. Hi, everybody! My name's downtonabbey15! I've been writing on here for a while A Few Important Things about Me: I'm a Christian and I'm not ashamed. A lot of my stories will have Christian themes, or at least talk of Christianity. Even if you don't believe, I hope you read them anyway. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with my life. Sighs. . . I'm a Rusher!! I just recently got really into Big Time Rush and I'm so sad that I'm so late but honestly...their music makes me so happy. I'm so glad I found them. I am a musician. I sing more than I play piano or ukulele, but I love all three pretty equally. If you ever want to talk, just PM me. I might not understand what you're going through, but I can listen. I've been through some dark times recently, and God brought me out of it. I would love to pass it on. A Few Fun Facts: Favorite Show: Downton Abbey/ The Golden Girls/ Big Time Rush/ Gravity Falls/ Drake & Josh Favorite Movie: The Encounter/ Big Hero 6/ Angel Has Fallen Favorite Artists: MercyMe, Lauren Daigle, Big Time Rush, Heffron Drive, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars Hobbies: Theatre, singing, writing, needlepoint (Yes, I love those little cross-stitch kits from Michael's. . . you guys should try it, it's really relaxing), knitting, reading just about anything having to do with WWII I've had two eye surgeries, the second of which didn't go so well so my glasses are outrageously thick, lol. I have two dogs, they're totally my babies lol. I'm the most untech-savvy person you'll ever meet. iPhones are a struggle. . . I own a set of authentic Russian Nesting Dolls (Is that weird? They're really neat. . .) I'm pretty socially awkward and I have a hard time making friends. So in all likelihood, I want to talk to all of you, I'm just petrified to actually PM anyone, lol. ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL MY WONDERFUL READERS: I'm so, so sorry for my horrendous updating schedule. My schedule is nuts and when I finally do sit down I feel like there's nothing left in me to write. All of my stories are NOT discontinued unless otherwise marked. I'm trying a different approach to my writing now. I'm trying to pre-write all my stories before posting, to take a bit of the stress off of myself. This way I can take as much time as I like, and you all get a product that has been reworked and edited and scrutinized until I'm pleased with it. It's a win for everybody, I think. Story Updates: "Return to Downton Abbey" is in progress, and will be for some time. Please forgive my updating inconsistency. I began this piece nearly four years ago and didn't realize what a big thing I'd taken on. But it's close to my heart, so as much as I'd like to scrap it and redo it, I will continue with it just as it is. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with it. "When Darkness Calls" -- Complete "Beyond the Brooklyn Bridge" is being reworked. I've lost my motivation for it but my love for it is still there, and I know a few of you really like it, so please bear with me. "Through My Eyes" -- Complete "Sometimes We Forgive" -- In-progress, updates should come every two-to-three weeks at a maximum, sometimes sooner. Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master... TRUE STORY A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. If you're against abortion, copy this onto your profile A Dads Poem Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, and she couldn't wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees a dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats. one by one the teacher called a student from the class. To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare. each of them was searching, for a man who wasn't there. "Where's her daddy at?" she heard a boy call out. "She probably doesn't have one," another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say, "Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day." The words did not offend her, she smiled up at her Mom and looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique. "My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day. And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories, he taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone. "Cause my daddy's always with me, even though we are apart I know because he told me, he'll forever be in my heart" With that, her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud. "I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, but heaven's just too far. You see he was a fireman and died just this past year when airplanes hit the towers and taught Americans to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away." And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day. And to her mother’s amazement, she witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side. "I know you're with me Daddy," to the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far. ‘They’ say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this to the people you'll never forget and remember to send it also to the person that sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've forgotten your friends. Take the time...to live and love. Until eternity. May you be blessed. Copy and paste this if it touches your heart. NEW School Prayer: Now I sit me down in school where praying is against the rule. For this great nation under God finds mention of Him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, it violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange, or green, that's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, and pierce our noses, tongues, and cheeks... They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible, to quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, and the 'unwed daddy' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, we're taught that such 'judgements' do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls, study witchcraft, vampires, and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, no word of God must reach the crowd. It's scary here I must confess, when chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen. If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, and could not live without Him in my life. If you do too, and aren't afraid to admit it, copy and paste this into your profile, and add your name to the list. When you carry a Bible, the devil gets a headache. PLEASE READ. I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a cashier hand this little boy some money back. The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll." Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?'' The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.'' Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly. The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand. Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. "It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her." I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry. But he replied to me sadly. "No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there." His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'' My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall." Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me "I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister." Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly. I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'' "OK," he said, "I hope I do have enough." I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money. The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money!" Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'' A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy? Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him. Now you have 2 choices: 1) Repost this message. 2) Ignore it as if it never touched your heart I didn't write it but when I saw it on somebody else's profile it touched my heart, so I had to repost. I hope you can repost as well.
