Call me Sam and don't mind the weird pseudo. About myself: I'm a guy, I just became 50 years old and I live in Europe.

I have a technical background. The last ten years, I kind of made a job switch to PR and education in mental healthcare. Working with volunteers in a psychiatric institution is a nice job actually. Of course, there is a lot of misery too. Sometimes I think: more than anywhere else in the world. Still, life goes on, even after/ with a serious illness. I believe that the public needs to know how we can all live together. And when it comes to becoming a writer, it doesn't hurt to know a bit about how the human mind can derail. How and why.

A long time ago I wanted to be a comic artist. I started doing some drawing and discovered that writing is fun too. I had a short career as a story writer, but then returned to my old job as a computer engineer. I've been writing a couple of stories since then and even did a fantasy writing course, but my Rocket Raccoon/ Groot fan fic 'The Suit' is the first thing I ever published. English is not my native language. I look at writing in English as an advanced language course. I hope you forgive my quirks in writing English, I'm in the process of ironing them out.

As a European, I choose to use British spelling and the metric system because I'm used to it. For SF, I think it's a good thing too to use the metric system. Why measure things in human feet and thumbs when you're in the Andromeda galaxy? Hu-maahns are so weird! Did I tell I'm a furry fan? I love talking animals.

About my first story 'The Suit': the movie 'Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)' begs for a story about Rocket's implants, so here's a - hopefully original - variant. It has been betaed by a girlfriend of mine, Sandra, to whom I'm thankful forever! After that, Ravenreux was so kind to beta it a second time and this also resulted in many improvements. I'm currently in the process of reposting the corrected chapters.

I had so much documentation worked out for The Suit that I decided to put some of it into an appendix chapter. If you like to know everything about Rocket, Groot, The GotG and the Marvel Cosmic stories, the last chapter may contain a little treasure chest for you. I recommend you check out the AO3 version, it has many HTML elements that ffnet doesn't allow in publications, like pictures, tables and URL's.

I really fell in love with Rocket and soon I had inspiration for a second story, involving all the Guardians. It's called 'Space Tracking'. It's more light-hearted than The Suit. The Suit is a cruel hurt/ comfort story. Space Tracking is an exciting and fun GotG adventure with a whodunnit plotline. I'm introducing some original characters, but try to keep it in Marvel style. Well ... my version of Marvel style that is.
