coolbecauseflyingman chapter 10 . 10/22/2019 This story Is making me cry |
The Grey Coincidence chapter 20 . 5/19/2018 Simply put, this is one of the best (if not the best) fanfiction in this archive. It had an excellent villain and you managed to differentiate it from the first one, despite the similar plot lines. I'd say it's a well-executed sequel through and through and has got a lot of heart in it, but is insanely funny at the same time. You captured the voices of the characters quite well, especially Drax. You can also spell I am Groot correctly (you'd be surprised how many people don't). It was a kinda depressing fic at times, but it's ending is just so 'warm' you gotta love it. At least aside from that cliffhanger... I want a sequel, but considering this fic took you quite a lot of time and the great villain known as Real Life does get in the way I won't pressure you for one (though if you did ever end up writing it you can certainly expect me to give it a read). |
AmmusedBabyArchive chapter 1 . 10/28/2017 As a great man once said "IMA MAKE SOME WEIRD SHIT" |
Rival Argentica chapter 19 . 9/20/2017 Um, okay, just forgot to include this in my last review. Is Rocket's sudden addiction to honey got anything to do with anything? Because I smell a sequel. (?!) |
Rival Argentica chapter 20 . 9/20/2017 I got your PM and all I'll say is you're welcome, though actually you deserve MORE reviews for your stories than what you've already got, seriously! I LOVE YOU DUDE FOR WRITING THIS. I REALLY DO. YOUR FANFIC HAS FILLED THIS HOLE INSIDE OF ME AND I JUST GAAAAH! This story is flarking awesome! Best I've read in a while! This is just the fanfic that's perfect for me- I love fics where my beloved characters are getting psychologically tortured by their past by some magic or curse or something. I LOVE your concept, it inspired me to write again. I actually was surprised that your concept is the same as my other story, only yours is better executed XD But, UGH, all the ANGST. I'm sorry for sounding too fangirly and less critique-y, but I've got nothing critique-y to say because this angsty masterpiece is perfect in my eyes, especially since it pricked my lachrymose glands in that part where ROCKET GOT MENTALLY TORTURED BY HIS PAST AND HIS FAMILY IS WITH HIM ALL THE WHILE GOD I /CRIED/. That chilling and haunting and beautiful and heartbreaking moment when Quill and I find out that Rocket had been trying, TRYING to keep himself mentally stable by writing "Don't you forget" in that cage with a drawing of his family! And don't get me started about how my heart TWISTED seeing Rocket withdraw into being a raccoon! Goddammit, that was just haunting writing right there and I flarking HATE you for making me cry! No, actually, I love you. I love you and this story. Would you write more about Rocket soon? Please? Either way: amazing story, amazing writing, amazing concept, flarkingly awesome execution. A good read. Highly recommended, for anyone reading at the reviews to try to figure out if a story is worth reading or not, because I tell y'all that it is. |
LittleOldWriter12 chapter 20 . 7/29/2017 I am so glad I found this! I love this story just as much as the first one! I hate that little brat, but she did kill herself to save Rocket, so I guess she's alright. Fantastic work! |
Jbld2 chapter 20 . 6/22/2017 So i see another story coming? Possibly with rocket addicted to that honery stuff? |
SaterHelberg chapter 20 . 6/14/2017 This chapter is short but sweet, I love it. Something has changed about Rocket ... how will this play out? |
Sinikettu chapter 20 . 6/13/2017 Cool, you've finished it. With a cliff hanger, no less. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. |
Toni42 chapter 20 . 6/11/2017 Is he... is that the honey? Is he eating the honey? That is... VERY concerning, to say the least. Are you doing another one? You don't have to if you don't want to, of course, but this is quite the cliffhanger. Either way, I praise your brilliance and thank you for this wonderous read! I have enjoyed this EMENSLEY! |
39et3kd9ed chapter 20 . 6/7/2017 Oh. Oh, damn. O_O I did not see that coming. You'd think the honey is something he would never want to taste again, but I guess not. Maybe he's stronger now, and can tell himself he only needs it to sleep for now? Or maybe it's just him eating it because he's in control of how much he eats and what he uses it for, instead of someone forcing it into him. |
SaterHelberg chapter 19 . 5/30/2017 What an ending to a great story! I read it twice to make sure that I fully absorbed all the details. And in reading it the second time, I noticed a clever dramatic device that I missed the first time. But I'm not going to give away too many spoilers, so the readers have to find out themselves. ;) Rocket is an interesting person to write about. Some of us would like to love him, but he is not easy to love and he doesn't really welcome it - due to the complexity of his personality. There's a tangible feeling of uneasiness in this chapter. Prince has shown a lot of respect for Rocket in making nothing too easy. Myra is a very scary character. She can easily compete with Freddy Krueger, but has many more layers that keep unwrapping till the end, making her perfectly unpredictable. That's what makes this story exciting all the way. Last thing to mention is that I appreciate the GotG team thing in the middle of this chapter, after a long time of painful separation. The GotG are at their best when they are together! |
UnknownWarner chapter 19 . 5/30/2017 SPOILERS: Well then, another sleepless night for me as I binge read this entire story. This is all so well done and borderline professional. The grammar is almost perfect, and there was so much time and attention to detail that it was almost mind blowing at times. The portrayal of the characters was just so spot on and realistic. The way Rocket was broken for most of the story was heartbreaking, but not unrealistic and "teen angsty". The sweeter moments with Rocket were also extremely well done and not too cheesy or "fangirlish". It all felt like it could have been a part of an actual GOTG movie or comic. The darker tone to this story was very well done and wasn't over the top. It was interesting to see Rocket in such a broken and sad state, and it gave this story some very real emotional moments that actually brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions. You have such an interesting and cool way of writing villains that stand out. From Mr Brandt to Myra, they both had such unique personalities that were legitimately entertaining and threatening in their own unique ways, and I especially love how Myra ended up giving her life for Rocket. It gave her much needed sympathy, and made you honestly feel bad for her and what she has been through. I think killing off Groot was a very bold and very effective move on your part. It was something that allowed us to see Rocket hurt on a deeper emotional level. Personally, I would have kept Groot dead, or maybe even have the sticks that Gamora plants not work and give Rocket a false sense of hope that he comes to terms with at the end. Something that would give a huge heart-wrench to the story, but that's just personal opinion. I really hope to see more GOTG and Rocket fics from you in the future. You have serious talent, and I haven't had this much fun reading Fanfiction since I first read "How to Buy Happiness" :). |
UnknownWarner chapter 7 . 5/29/2017 Aww, poor Rocket, will his agony ever subside? I really like your portrayal of Mantis. As someone who has never read the comics, I was worried that the different approach would be off-putting. However, I very much like what you've done with her character. In the context of this story, it's better that she be a badass fighter than a ditsy blond (metaphor) like she was in the movie. |
Toni42 chapter 19 . 5/28/2017 I eeked when I saw this. It was soooo gooooooood! Is this it over? Please don't tell me this is the last chapter! This story's too good to diiiiiieeeeee! |
