So, eight years later, I have turned full round and come right back to the core of my childhood. As many times as I have said I have outgrown Slayers, it has waltzed right back into my life. I'm still as in love with it as I was back then. And, of course, Xelloss and Lina are my couple.

A long, long time ago, I had this idea that there had to come a time when I would give up fanfiction and stray into the world of original work. I thought that this path was irreversible--that it had no return route once it had been undergone. While I was walking down this path, enrolling in various courses in creative writing and whatnot, I encountered professors that have vastly changed my opinion since then. Good writing must come from somewhere, they say. It is only natural to copy what one thinks is good, as long as we are able to tweak it into something entirely original. It is only by doing this that we broaden our perspectives and truly dive into the heart of--explore the world of--creative writing.

And it is from there that I have returned to the world of fanfiction. Now I happily embrace the idea of writing both fanfiction and original works without feeling guilty or worrying about doing something worthless. Though they might not have had this in mind when they said that, I'm glad they did. It's definitely broadened my writing perspective :P.

To new readers: I never started a new account between my recent and past fanfics. I decided it was unnecessary, and some people may still enjoy the older works (although I do feel a little embarrassed by some of them). Regardless, they are all mine, so I'm not going to hide behind a different pen name. Having said that, I apologize if my older works are a little...dissatisfying. The new ones may be better, so a suggested reading might be to start there.
