Five-year-old Lily has a sugar daddy. Kate is alarmed - until she sees who it is.

One way Castle and Beckett might have survived 8x22...with help from some friends from out of town.

Post-"Crossfire". Castle and Beckett are rushed to the hospital, and Beckett is trying to get news of Castle's condition as she fades in and out of consciousness. In between moments of lucidity, she dreams...and so does Castle. My mini-ficathon entry for the 2016 Summer Castle Ficathon. Complete!

AU where Beckett is shot by Tisdale in the first episode, as prompted on twitter. Castle blames himself for her getting shot because he was trying to play the hero. Fair warning: no fluff here, at all, and no resolution either.

"He has some of his memories intact," Kate tells Lanie. "Alexis, Martha, the acting studio. Just - nothing to do with the Twelfth. Including me, you, Kevin, Javi...any of the cases we've worked." Castle reappears as depicted in "Driven", but he's missing a large chunk of his memory - the chunk that includes Kate.

What if Castle told Kate he loved her right after her apartment blew up in "Boom!"? Another prompt from Lou, for #castlefanficmonday.

Richard Castle lives in a citadel far above Manhattan, doomed never to leave his loft until he writes the final chapter of his book. Even as he despairs of writing a suitable conclusion, a lady appears on the horizon who may be able to free him - if she doesn't sock him first. [My first attempt at a Castle AU, based on the Disney musical version of Beauty and the Beast.]

Yet another post-"The Limey" tale, a bit of silliness prompted by inkycoffee. "Kate takes Colin out for dinner after the case and they run into Castle and Jacinda. Bonus points if Jacinda and Colin end up together (they're both on the way to the airport, anyway)." Not canon compliant.

Prompted at castlefanficprompts for 8x12, "The Blame Game", thus spoilers: What if Kate were injured, or pregnant, during this episode? I went with both and made it as fluffy as possible when there's an emergency room involved.

Richard Castle has become a recluse, living in his Hamptons house alone, writing, seeing no visitors except his family and friends. On the other side of the country, she wanders the beach and tells herself she's safe. She hates safe. (Fix-it for what the season 8 finale may bring.)

Speculation as to a possible ending for season 8. Kate Beckett prepares to embark on a quest to track down LokSat's mastermind once and for all. She won't be alone, but it won't be Rick by her side - it'll be a woman they both know and trust, even with their lives.

In the face of his impending death, Castle tries to piece together the story of LokSat and prays that he gets a chance to tell it to someone - preferably Kate. One way that the LokSat investigation might play out, entirely in my own imagination. Spoilery for season 8.

Spoilers for season 8; started after the sneak peek for 8x05, but before I saw the episode. Castle can't bring himself to be present when Kate comes to "pick up the rest of her stuff", so he hides in his PI cave. Until he finds out she didn't take anything, and she wants to try to meet up.
