Hmmm, so I'm jumping back on the Castle fanfic bandwagon because the synopsis of episode 12 caught my attention. So, if you're SPOILER FREE, don't read this until after the episode airs. I'm pretty sure the writers aren't going to do this. Just thought of some scenes I want to see.

What if the things that happened in Sleeper were a lie, made up to throw Castle off the track of whatever really happened those 2 months that he was missing? SPOILER WARNING - This story will go into season 8. This is AU.

Summary – Another version of what happened to Castle in Hollander's Woods when he was 11 and how that influenced him to become a mystery writer.

Warning on several character deaths, but not Castle and Beckett. A very AU Castle-Beckett meeting loosely based on 7X16 because some people are just meant to be together no matter what. Takes place several years in the future, maybe 10? This is just a 1-shot.

This is my angst version of The Gambit, and Tyson and Nieman are back with a vengeance. I'm sure the writers aren't going to do this based on the spoiler pictures I've seen (and I do look and read), but the plot bunnies grabbed ahold and won't let go.

Summary – Post 7x09 AU. SPOILER ALERT for season 7. What if Beckett's last visit to her old apartment didn't go quite as she planned and some old "friends" showed up to play. Still not light and fluffy like some of the fics out there. This is my interpretation of how things play out.

Post 7x01 AU. Summary – After finding the fake Henry Jenkins, Beckett starts questioning the evidence against Castle and finds it isn't what it seemed to be.

AU 7x01 – Another scenario about how they find Castle. From A Deadly Affair – Montgomery: "Annie Oakley?" Ryan: "I kind of almost shot Castle." From Cuffed: Castle: 'What's gonna happen with that tiger, anyway' Esposito: 'Shoot 'em.'

AU 7x01 – Castle is kidnapped because of something from his past and, yes, this one involves the CIA, but he's not a spy. "… they're gonna sell us... I wonder what I'd be worth." Richard Castle, Cuffed. And I was thinking what would be bittersweet to me, so here it is.

Castle is kidnapped because of something that happened during his childhood. Now it's caught up with him at the worst possible time. This time, it has nothing to do with the CIA or Castle's father.

Another idea about what happened to Castle to cause him to miss his wedding based on something that happened in college and the wronged party's idea of revenge. This will be told mainly from Castle's viewpoint and will be multi-chapter.

A stand-alone post For Better or Worse story about why Castle disappeared on the way to the wedding. One of Castle's crazy theories comes true and he's the victim. I'm posting the stories individually because the next story has suddenly become multi-chapter, like they do sometimes.

A post 6x23 fic previously titled Hours Lost Forever. What happens when Castle shows back up after the car crash and thinks the crash happened after the wedding and Kate was in the car with him. 3XK or Bracken are not involved. This deals with Castle's time shadowing the CIA. I combined the 2nd part with this one because I thought it might be easier to keep track of.

When Castle has a car wreck on the way home from a book signing, he visited by a ghost from the past, but is it a delusion or real? Happens in the future after the wedding.

WARNING – MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH. This is totally AU post 6x23 because everyone has contracts for season 7 – yeah! So what if it happened a little differently? Definitely angst but does end happily for some. May be a little sensitive for some people. And don't read at work.

How far would Castle go to protect his friends at the 12th and at what personal cost to himself and his relationship to the team? This takes place between "The Belly of the Beast" and "Veritas". Does not include any spoilers for "Veritas" but leads up to it. This is AU because I'm adding some back story and some original characters from Castle's past.

SPOILER ALERT for those who want to remain spoiler free. Given my proclivity for reading spoilers, this is how I would mess up the Caskett wedding and take care of the wedding dress, not that I have anything against it, but it's a little too haute couture for me, even if it does cost 26K (did they really spend that much on it or is that retail?) and Stana looks great in it.

This is based on reading a review of the press screening of In the Belly of the Beast that didn't reveal the ending, but said it wasn't what the reviewer expected. So this is what would annoy me the most.

Castle agrees to go on a marathon book tour in August so they can have the wedding in September, but disappears from the plane on the flight back. I'm sure this is going to be one of many "missed wedding" fics because you just know that they aren't going to have a normal wedding. Where would be the fun in that? This is a different version of I Dream of You where Hunt was darker.

Not light and fluffy. After reading the spoilers about Castle's father returning in season 6 (yeah, James Brolin), this plot bunny popped into my head. Definitely not how AM will do it in the show. This may be considered AU.

Kate is at mandatory police training and Castle gets into trouble while researching a story. Can the 12th save him in time? This story is a continuation of "The Call" (rated M) and is now finished. Thanks for reading.

Okay, I had to fix a couple of words because I write too fast and who knew that you can't use an ellipsis in the title, so I've fixed the name and reposted. This is my idea of how Castle season 6 will go because I'm tired of a mopey Beckett and mopey Castle (although he's kinda cute when he mopes) and no offense to any mopey fan fic out there.

Kate takes the job in Washington, D.C.; Alexis is in Costa Rica; and Martha is doing summer stock in upper state New York. Rick is kidnapped and no one is at home to take the call about the ransom demands.
