Author has written 12 stories for Bones, Supernatural, White Collar, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Criminal Minds, Sherlock, and Chuck. Bio Hello! On Fanfiction.net, my name is Holly! She/her pronouns, please. I love travel, reading, and writing. My first language is English, I am independently studying French, taking university Arabic courses, and will be studying Mandarin while abroad in China soon. I'm an undergraduate student with a love for sweet, fluffy animals. I always will be a Whovian with a Supernatural interest and a passion for BBC's Sherlock (barring S4). I have a deep love for Bones, Criminal Minds, White Collar, and NBC's Chuck. I'm an MCU fan, and I casually enjoy many other series and movies. I also have accounts with other fanfiction platforms. Please see "other online activity" for more information. Announcements *UPDATE* Username Change: I have changed my username! I was formerly "Holly Kasakabe". Rewriting "It's My Life" - I have decided that I will be placing "Until the Day I Die" on hiatus. This story has been increasingly hard to write due to a lack of connection with my own OC and a lack of planning and organization within the story itself. Some of my biggest issues with this series are rooted so deeply that the story needs to be rewritten. "It's My Life" will be slowly refurbished to reflect my writing now as opposed to my writing when I was in middle school, hopefully including a much more realistic and consistent character who lives outside the realm of plot pushing and dialogue appropriation. Afterwards, "Until the Day I Die" will undergo heavy revision and planning before it is edited and continued. "Snapshots" may or may not be heavily revised. At the moment, "Snapshots" will be left alone and may even see future chapters while the rest of the series is rewritten, as this collection is not as heavily related to the main story. Other Online Activity Quotev Account - Username: Writings of Stardust (@25787489) My Quotev account is a good place to go for most general activity updates. Quotev is my oldest platform, so I have a few abandoned stories there that are not cross-posted. Additionally, due to the lacking discretion in their content rating system, all content I post on Quotev is scrubbed suitable for a T rating on FFN. AO3 - Username: WritingsOfStardust This is where I post non-OC stories (I don't have many, though I'm interested in branching out to make more), although I am in the process of updating and cross-listing everything I still consider relevant to my "fanfic portfolio" (AKA everything I'm actually happy putting my name on). Additionally, AO3 contains collections of requests I filled on my main Tumblr blog (needs updated) and "Special Someone," a set of inter-fandom soulmate AUs. Tumblr - Username: Writings of Stardust (writingsofstardust . tumblr . com) This is my main tumblr blog. Unless you want to chat about something specific, this may be the best way to contact me short of a PM. I don't post a lot as I'm not on Tumblr as much as I used to be, although I do have a couple of requests to clear out before I close my writing here. Tumblr - Username: Lie a Little Better (liealittlebetter - mckenna . tumblr . com) This is a side blog dedicated to my Lie a Little Better series. Stories Note: This section refers only to content that I have published, or intend to publish, on FFN. For other content, please see "other online activity" above. Series (overarching collections; does not include individual parts) "It's My Life" - Bones Holly Kirkland, seventeen, keeps her head down and does her (somewhat illegal) job to pay the rent after refusing to let the foster care system drag her back in. As her life becomes a matter of going through the motions and struggling to see a purpose, Holly is saddled with the burden of an FBI supervisor charged with keeping her safe after she becomes a key witness to a felony. Agent Booth isn't a huge fan of minors who act above the law and Holly is a misanthrope who doesn't trust anyone, not even the people who wear badges. Holly gets more than she ever expected when she meets an array of characters whom Booth works with in the Medico-Legal lab, putting her analytical mind and headstrong personality to good use. "Lie a Little Better" - White Collar, Soulmate AU. Peter Burke is stationed in Boston, but the best place for Neal Caffrey is the Sing Sing super-max. When he needs a handler out of New York to strike a get-out-of-jail-somewhat-free deal, Neal proposes a case-law precedent to Special Agent McKenna Anderson in the hopes that he might be able to bring his sister home and meet his soulmate like they do in the movies. McKenna Anderson was recently demoted from her division and is struggling with the aftermath of personal and professional trauma. She doesn't want to get attached to anyone new, and she's totally cool with not knowing who her soulmate is. In fact, she almost doesn't want to know. Neither of them get exactly what they want. Stories Completed "Claws" - Criminal Minds. Cats have claws. Cat has fingernails. Close enough. Tag to S11E11, "Entropy." "Porcupine" - Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Grant Ward is a porcupine and everyone knows it (especially Commander Hill). So why is it that whenever Skye starts coming close, she never gets stuck with any quills? Introspective one-shot on Ward and Skye from S1E01 to S1E07. Pre-Skyeward. "Lie a Little Better" - White Collar. First part and first installment (large story) of the "Lie a Little Better" series. Soulmate AU. Special Agent McKenna Anderson is a strong fixture in the White Collar Crime Division. She ends up in a strange relationship with someone she'd normally be trying to catch when Neal Caffrey becomes her consultant. Upon finding her soulmate, things get infinitely harder. Amid all the drama and the graying lines of right and wrong, she never thought she'd have to choose between being a cop and being a criminal... until she did. "Loyalty" - White Collar. Part of the "Lie a Little Better" series. Five times that McKenna showed that she had Neal's back, and one time that Neal returned the favor. "Sketches" - White Collar. Part of the "Lie a Little Better" series. McKenna always knew Neal was a hell of an artist, but it had somehow never occurred to her that he might have a sketchbook. Stories In Progress "Snapshots" - Bones. Tags of the "It's My Life" series. What happened while Holly visited Russ with Brennan? What happened when she and Booth had lunch on Assateague Island? What was her first visit to Hodgins' lab like? What about that dinner Booth scheduled with his friend at the VA? How did Holly find out Brennan's a licensed foster parent? "Supernatural" - Supernatural. Holly and Serenity Kasakabe, accomplished twin sisters, were never afraid of the dark. What do they do when two brothers show them there's more to be afraid of than they've ever dreamed? Everyone knows that what goes up must come down. How high can the sisters fly before they crash and the Winchesters have to pick up the pieces? "The Patriot in Purgatory" - Bones. Set in the universe of "It's My Life," the events of "The Patriot in Purgatory" through the perspective of Holly Kirkland. This will be a stand-alone short story. I received a request to do this and have decided that since the rest of the series is in hiatus while it's reworked, it couldn't hurt to do a little playing with Holly's future. Also, this episode's subject matter has always been moving and important, and it's especially relevant in the current political climate. Not yet published. Story Ideas (Very Early Stages or Not Started) "Far From Home" - Sherlock. Emili was adopted by a kindhearted couple in England who sent her to the city with their oldest child, who has better things to do than parent a sixteen-year-old. Emili makes the most out of it and moves into 221 Baker Street, becoming her brother Sherlock's upstairs neighbor. It's not like she can criticize her new family for being abnormal - it's not like girls her age typically run around London, solving exciting crimes and being shadowed by the name everyone seems afraid of. Still, if Scotland Yard isn't going to do their jobs right, then someone has to. Status: several chapters written; later chapters still being developed. "Untitled Chuck Story" - Chuck. Soulmate AU. Daniella is working her ass off to build her reputation as an excellent independent journalist. An invitation to a national security conference in Los Angeles takes her to Burbank just in time to meet Chuck Bartowski and discover that some secrets are best kept hidden... inside the brain of a living person as a series of images encoded with classified data that many people are willing to kill for. Status: still in early writing. Lie a Little Better Sequel - White Collar. Not titled yet. The second installment of "Lie a Little Better." Status: early writing. Doctor Who Story - Doctor Who. Not titled yet. Christina meant to visit her pen pal to get a break from the drama. Aliens are not what she considers a break, no matter how cool it might sound to apparently have one as a best friend. There's just one problem: the Doctor knows Christina, but she doesn't know him. Yet. Status: early development. Marvel Story/Series - MCU. Not titled yet. Serena was just trying to get her PhD and instead she ended up in a terrorist cell with an obnoxious multi-billionaire. C'est la vie. Status: is a cool idea. Stories, Other "It's My Life" - Bones. First part of the "It's My Life" series. Holly Kirkland has never been "normal," nor does she care to be. All she wants is to live her life. When being arrested leads her to the people who will allow that to happen, how can she stay away? She supposes everyone at the Jeffersonian's alright and so long as she doesn't have a gun, Booth doesn't mind. Note: this story is marked as completed, however it is going to be rewritten. This is also why there is a discrepancy between this story description and the series' description above. For more information, see "announcements." "Until the Day I Die" - Bones. Second part of the "It's My Life" series. Holly Kirkland is definitely not normal, but she has all she ever wanted. It's complicated, but she's working it out. Serial killers, cryptic psychologists, and a new boss throw a wrench in her plans, and that's not to mention the mix of teen and adult drama being hurled her way. This might be harder than she thought. Note: this story is on hiatus while the first installment of the series is rewritten. This story may then be subject to revisions before it is resumed. For more information, see "announcements." |
