Author has written 2 stories for Twilight, and Vampire Diaries. I'm not new to writing fanfic, but I decided crossovers might me fun, and I was right! Sometimes I have a beta (My kick-ass husband) Unless he is busy, otherwise all mistakes are my own, unless they are his! So... Writing Don'ts - By Me! Totally my opinion, which means nadda! lol Everyone is hot for the protagonist. (No) I tend to stop reading a story, no matter how well it started off, if every Tom-Dick and Marry is falling head-over-heels with the main character. The protagonist is all empowering, and savior of all! (No) With power, comes weakness. Fantasy has no limits! (Wrong) All fantasy must be tethered in reality, or it is impossible for the reader to relate to the world and the story. All characters, whether they play a small part or a larger role in the story are important. (Yes) Absolutely. No need to add a character if they have no purpose. Character death happens. The world is not full of unicorns and rainbows. My aim when I write? Solely to entertain others and release the creative chaos that swirls around in my head! Is reviewing a writer's work important? Imagine if you spent all day cooking an amazeballs dinner, and your guest came over, ate their fill, and said nothing? Not even a single thanks? Yes, it feels like that. So, they are important, mainly because it lets the writer know you are enjoying the story, respecting their time, and, or, giving them some concrit (respectfully) We do this for free - it is free to tap out a few words and post your thanks. ;) I read a lot, and I always review. It is my way of saying - thank you. Thanks for reading! |
