I love Damon slowly realizing how big of a trauma Edward has left her. When you read the books, at least to me, it always seems like it's a teenage relationship, and teenagers do stupid things... except Edward isn't a teenager at all, and he should know better.
I like the pace, and I really like Bella's reactions - as though she hasn't even figured out Damon wouldn't mind getting her naked.

I looove how you're mentioning all the things that makes Edward toxica ton of them I hadn't even thought of before.

Jacob showing up and Damon showing his protective side was awesomethe only critique I have (and I hope you take this as constructive) is that it seems a little quick to just get rid of Jacob and Edward like that. I understand the need to have them written off, so she can fall in love with Damon, but it seems a little too easy for her to throw them outand I feel like Jacob might have insisted, that even though she's mad, she needs to come with him.

I think it's awesome how you're subtly differentiating between werewolves and shape shiftersI was wondering how you were gonna get around the toxic werewolf bite, but that was handled beautifully. Seems like Damon is super overpower, lol. I guess he's pretty old and strong.

I can't get over how clever this is. I'm usually a somewhat strict Delena shipper, but somebody told me about this pairing and I felt it could really work if done rightand so far, you're doing great. I loved that you didn't compromise on any of the two vampire lores but found a way to mash them together so they can co-exist. I bet Damon is gonna have A LOT of fun with innocent, plain Bella. She's not a firecracker like Elena and so far I really like this dynamic.

OK, I'm enjoying this. Bella angsting and moping was what pissed me off the most about the books and the reason that the 4th was the only one I could vaguely enjoy. The world Meyer built had potential, just shitty characters. Throwing Damon into the mix is a wonderful way to counteract this.

This is the best Bella/Damon story I’ve read to date. The way you captured Damon’s good and bad qualities without changing his core character and how Bella was stronger but not a hateful witch, was refreshing! The bod between those two was beautiful to watch grow and develop.
