![]() Author has written 12 stories for Pride and Prejudice. An avid reader of everything JAFF, I love to see the new twists, turns and what-ifs that people come up with for Jane Austen's beloved characters. I like a reasonable attempt at historical accuracy, but also appreciate works which are a bit tongue-in-cheek. I have a very demanding day job, which means that I write in fits and starts when I can find time. I apologise to any readers who are frustrated by long delays between chapters. I write in British English, both because that is what I grew up with and because that is what Jane Austen's characters all spoke and wrote in. Sometimes spell-check sneaks through an American spelling, but I do try to weed them all out ;-) I appreciate all the reviews - positive and negative. You keep me on my toes, and have helped me pick up several mistakes, from typos to continuity errors. And it is great to know that so many people appreciate my work. That is a great motivator! I publish on Kobo and Amazon under the name Margaret Gale. As well as my novels Words Spoken in Anger, Encounter at Pemberley, Suddenly Betrothed and Singer in the Woods, you will also find five short stories and novellas by me - The Maiden's Stratagem, A Floury Apron, A Little Encouragement, The Carriage Ride, and Ice and Fire at Pemberley - for sale on Kobo and Amazon. |
