About the Author (Complete Short Bio): My name is Cryssi. I am nineteen years old-and currently enrolled in college. I am a musical theatre major, which may perplex some of you, my beloved readers. You might want to ask, "Why aren't you a creative writing major, when you love it so much?" The answer is simple, I live and breathe musicals and won't be able to forgive myself if I don't live for a few years as a starving artist. Writing is my second career choice. No one informed me that your fallback career was suposed to be a guarenteed steady gig until after I had decided on it. Currently, there are several possible writing projects in the works with my best friend Debbie, who is my coauthor for the story Points in the Right Direction. I could not be considered normal under any circumstances, but together we're bound to be institutionalized one day. Fanfiction History: I began writing creatively when I was in fourth grade. When I entered middle school, I had abandoned all hope of ever writing the novel that had been percolating in my brain for years. One day, sitting in class an older student, who was also a rabid Harry Potter fan, told me about this wonderous world online in which fans wrote stories that other fans could read for fun. The idea was genius. For years I sat and eagerly read other people's works. I didn't write my own story until junior year in high school when my other best friend Conterra dared me to write a story after I tried to help her by coming up with a plot line for her own fic. The idea was too far-fetched, said she, no one would read it. But I disagreed. "I will write it, and I bet you it'll be really good too!" I declared. Thus, my first fanfiction, What Happens in Kyoshi was born. Soon after the success of What Happens in Kyoshi, Conterra and I embarked on our voyage together on what is the now the (most likely) sunken Purple Steam. In the meantime, I was introduced to Bleach over Christmas. It would not be long until Shunsui and Nanao forever embeded themselves in my brain and refused to leave until I have completed their story. Tossed Aside was completed by that March and followed by it's prequel A Test of Affection. I am currently working on the final installment of the "T.A." series (as I affectionately call it), Tomorrow and After. Somewhere in all of this excitement, the debut of the fifth Harry Potter movie and the release of the seventh book in the series prompted Conterra, Debbie, and I to start writing Points in the Right Direction one night at three in the morning. Conterra had a difficult time sticking with the project due to her many activities, but Debbie and I, completely committed to what we call "our baby," always squeezed in enough early morning writing sessions to publish chapters. While progress is slow, we will see it through to it's conclusion and revision. Having finished Tomorrow and After, I have decided to move on in order to write my own works of original fiction. Debbie and are continuing our slow development to the conclusion of Points in the Right Direction which will probably one of the last works of fanfiction I work on for a while. Please do not let that fact deter you from reading my finished works. I put a lot of effort into my stories, because I think my readers deserve the best possible reading while they wait for the next book or movie in whatever their series of choice is. I also hope that readers will continue to support me as I finish my current projects. Happy Reading! STORIES IN PROGRESS: Swear on the Styx: A thought that just wouldn't get out of my head over the holiday break as I re-read the Percy Jackson series. Set during Percy and Annabeth's first year of college, this story begins when Annabeth recieves an urgent IM from Grover telling her that Percy, her best friend and current ex-boyfriend, is mysteriously ill and on the brink of death. Annabeth must travel across country in order to try and repair their damaged relationship before it's too late. Aphrodite on the other hand, has other plans. She's waited years for a good tragic romance... Purple Steam (Can be found on my joint account with Conterra-san with the creative username CONTERRA-SAN&BLACKVELVETBAND) A work in progress that I am co-authoring with my friend Conterra-san. The story is set in a post-war fire nation. Zuko is celebrating his twenty-first birthday and the anniversary of his third year as Fire Lord. In honor of the occasion, Zuko decides to hold a grand tournament. The catch is that all benders must fight in teams with a bender of another element than their own. As things heat up between Zuko and Katara (both literally and figuratively) the competition heats up as well. As strange and dangerous accidents keep occuring to both Zuko and Katara and neither can distinguish who the intended target was, it becomes apparent to both benders that they are no longer fighting for the tournament, they're fighting for their lives. Full of laughter, seduction, romance, danger and intrigue, Purple Steam is a wild ride guarenteed to leave you wanting more at the end of every cliff-hanger chapter ending! A main dish of Zutara with a large side of Taang. ON HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! Points in the Right Direction (Located on joint account CONTERRA-SAN&BLACKVELVETBAND): This story is a byproduct of the efforts my best friend Debbie, and myself. While making T-shirts for the premier of the fifth Harrry Potter movie, we were moved ourselves to write a Marauders fic detailing how Lily and James finally got together as it is left mainly out of the pages of the series. In this story, James is still trying to win Lily's heart after seven long years, and Lily caught between the real James and the image she's had of him for so long keeps finding herself in awkward situations. Little do the two know that on the sidelines, their friends are keeping score. Set against the backdrop of Voldemort's first ascent to power, Points in the Right direction is filled with humor, romance, secrets, forbidden friendships, conflicting desires, and the teens' realizations that war changes everything...
