Percy Jackson had to admit: he almost fell in love with Nico di Angelo.

If there was one person – one person in the entire world – who could possibly turn a confession into a rejection, it was Nico di Angelo. And if there was one thing that Percy Jackson was certain of, it was that Jason Grace and Will Solace constantly grated on his nerves with their painfully obvious and not-so-innocent intentions with Nico di Angelo.

Jason, Nico thought to himself, his breath hitched as there was only a thin fabric that separated their lips. He could feel the warmth of his lips through the fabric, and their connection just seemed natural. As natural as it was being in each other's company. As natural as it was to grasp each other's hands in the dark with the thin fabric separating their skins.

"Percy really can't explain it, and if he is being completely honest, maybe he doesn't want to. He knows he's not considered 'normal', but as far as he is concerned, that's not such a bad thing."
