![]() Author has written 76 stories for Seven Realms series, Winx Club, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Seedfolks, Inheritance Cycle, Pokémon, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and Star Wars. Hello, people of the interconnected network. I'd tell you my account name, but it's already at the top. Nicknames include PTV, Pierce, and Miss Veils. Use whichever you'd like. A few things about me: Why I Joined: Simple, really. I love writing. I have a (somewhat) healthy obsession with fandoms. I have fun writing about the fandoms I enjoy. That's my main reason for coming to , but there are a couple others. One was to gain writing experience and meet other aspiring authors. It's great to see so many people with similar interests, and talking to them can be a great help. My other motivation was friends. I have several friends in real life who spend more time on this site than I do (or, they used to. I think I beat them in that category now) and they Why I Write: Oh gosh, there are a lot of reasons. I write because it's the only time I can be 100% me. It's a place where I can show the world what lies beneath the surface, tell others what I actually want to say. I do it because I have the ideas for it, the inspiration to write and write until the pencil I'm using is a worthless nub, and still pick up another pencil. I love the hunt for that 'perfect' word. I think it's amazing that someone can possibly shape a completely different world with nothing but their imagination and words. I enjoy sending characters on a journey, then hopping along for the ride. I write to challenge myself. But most of all, I write to be read. I want my work to be remembered, to touch a person's heart, or best of all, to inspire another. I know I'm just a teenager, but young people are the ones with dreams, and I have a dream to get out there when I grow up. Writing well and getting published will be a long and difficult journey, but I honestly think I could have what it takes. I'll be an adult soon enough, so let me prepare for when that time comes. I Have Been Writing Fanfic Since: February 2013. I got my account the December of that year, close to my birthday. What I Write: I write a mix of multi-chapters, one-shots, drabbles, and poetry. Most of my ideas tend to be big, but multi-chaps take a long time, and writing too many at once is distracting. Also, most of my writing used to be done for challenges or prompts, but now it's forging aead on several ongoing projects, without much room for fun one shots anymore. I love challenge forums and the like, but now my schedule is full. As far as multi-chapters go, my favorite ones fall into two catagories: AU and pre-gen. I like AU because it gives you the chance to be creative, take the plot in a different direction. My favorite kinds are the canon divergent, the ones that remain canon up to a certain point, change one major thing, and play out the consequences. Or the ones that start off with a very different premise, one that hasn't been explored (I'm not fond of high-school AUs, because they tend to do a lot of the same things.) I also enjoy pre-gens because the past fascinates me. Every action is a direct result of what came before. The good stories are the ones with a rich history, and delving into that history leads to interesting results. My next writing preference deals with characters. I prefer not to focus on canon's main character (unless they're purposely OOC), as I'm always worried about getting such fandom icons wrong. This is another reason I enjoy AU: you can throw several expectations out the window (as long as it works in your story). My favorite characters to write about are the mysterious and/or unexplored characters of the fandom. I love enigmatic personalities, and if a character isn't fully developed, it gives me creative license. I also have no problem with writing from the other side of canon (an antagonist's POV). Lastly, I actually do enjoy a well-written OC, and have no problem including them as major characters if they'd fit the storyline. My final preference deals with genres. I'm willing to write in any genre for one-shots and drabbles, and poetry is a genre of it's own on this site. Any longer and I get a bit more choosy. My favorites to have as the main genre are Adventure, Mystery, Supernatural, Fantasy, Suspense, Crime, Family,Humor/Parody and Friendship. I may also be willing to do Romance, Tragedy, or Sci-Fi, but it depends on the circumstances. All other genres would likely require a special occasion because I don't tend to enjoy them as much. Fandoms I am Willing to Write For: (in no apparent order) Seven Realms, Books of Bayern, Warriors, Inheritance Cycle, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Virals, Naturals, Graceling, Ascendance Trilogy, Nancy Drew, Pokemon (Mystery Dungeon), Death Note, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Star Wars, and Proxy Please Note: this list will likely grow/change as I discover new fandoms, or possibly lose interest in others. If you have a fandom you love and think I might (based off my interests), feel free to recommend it. I'm always looking for new things to enjoy! Beta: I'm an active beta for all the fandoms listed, and am always willing to help out if the story interests me. Just know that I only beta five stories at one time, and two (technically five, but three haven't contacted me in a looong time) of those slots are currently filled. Other than those three, you'll have to wait until a story concludes/is officially abandoned. Also, if you ask, please be specific on whether there are certain aspects you're wanting me to take a look at, or if you want my opinion in general. If you want to ask, just PM me. Requests: As of right now, I am willing to take requests. Just make sure it's for a fandom I know (listed above). It doesn't have be something I usually write (see preferences), but that will increase the likelihood I take the request. I'm after the writing experience, so feel free to challenge me. All you have to do is send a PM with your idea and reasons behind it (why you picked me, what made you like this idea so much that you want it written, anything specific you want included), and I promise to respond with whether or not I accept. Collabs: I sometimes believe two heads are better than one, and have no qualms with partnering up for a story both parties share a vision for. Heck, my biggest project right now, Ace Attorney Investigations: End of an Era, is one huge collab. If I have a good feel for your personality, think we could mesh well stylistically, and genuinely like the idea put forward, I'll do it. Stories I Beta for: Because I simply love these stories (I mean, why else would I lend a hand?), I've decided to post their links (if they're begun publishing) right here. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do! Anarchy, by Rrit: I absolutely love Rrit's other fics, so when I received the chance to help her out, I was so excited. This story deals with the Greco-Roman War in HoO (Percy Jackson's second series) while the Seven fly off on their quest. Now if only she'd send me a new chapter... Sinister Presence by Art Writer III: This job kinda came out of a (now very long) PM conversation, and gosh am I glad. I love their idea so much! The premise is that at the end of Winx Club Season 4, a huge battle took place at Alfea and Red Fountain, waged by an unknown enemy. As a mystery writer recounts the details in a letter, you have to figure out what happened back then, and why it's so important in the future. Prequel to a next-gen. But I haven't talked to Art in awhile, so I'm open. Life is Not Always Like a Fairytale by renwotac1: Well, I wasn't sure whether or not to count myself as a beta, but in the end I did. I love this fic a whole lot, and when they posted the latest chapter, I had to honest and tell them I thought it could be better. I'm very glad they weren't upset, and instead they asked if I could help them with it. They've taken down the chapter now, and I hope to finish editing as soon as possible, so everyone can see it when it goes up again. The story itself is an AU of the latest Winx season, focusing on the Winx as a group rather than one individual. I highly recommend the story. But like the other two, we fell out of touch. Turnabout Anniversary by The Scollard: Author approached me near the end of me writing Rebirth, and I love their story and idea! Grown so attached to it since then, and they just posted the prologue recently. The story itself involves a murder in a prison right before the one year anniversary of Phoenix's reinstatement as an attorney, which Apollo Justice is roped into from the get go. Starts out very gripping, extremely suspenseful. The Scollard is also a beta for the AAI3 project, so expect to hear a lot about him and his work if you follow me. Might as well know what I'm talking about, am I right? Tale of A Turnabout, by Objections and Hint Coins: The author is one of the sweetest people I've met on here, and reading her reviews always made me smile. How could I not lend my assistance to her project? Story's about an OC, Briesa, trying to get a job at Gavin Law Offices pre-Apollo Justice. First chapter is out now. Other People's Business by AceWriter117: They're a new writer on the scene, but you wouldn't know that from their writing abilities. This story is more of a one-shot collection that features Dahlia Hawthorne and her adventures as Melissa Foster in a small town with far more than meets the eye. As of now, I have one open slot for betaing a story (one of them doesn't yet have a link). Announcements: Just a few things I want to let people know, mostly dealing with my stories and level of activity. I'm writing Ace Attorney Investigations 3, and you can help. Just PM me with any ideas/suggestions/material you want to see featured in the upcoming work. If you wanna partner with me or even beta my work, by all means, come on down. A google doc will be created where people can submit ideas, and if you join the writing team, a separate doc with the plot/character outlines will be shared through whatever medium is necessary. Be sure to get the word out on other fansites/AA fan dwellings, because I can't do it myself. The doc is here (with spaces so doesn't remove it): https:// docs. google. com /document/d/1VV_80EEXnlI_lThRrDV0allRDHzeyHRRA49AJH7eR48/edit?usp=sharing And remember, this invitation is good through July 1st. Early July is when cases start getting posted. You can get updates about this both here and on my new Tumblr blog, which was given the boring name of Ace Attorney Investigations 3 (which you can totally follow). AAI3 is approaching the halfway mark! The team and I are well into the third episode, and the fourth is outlined and ready to go. Full steam ahead! I've been on this site for over four years. Wow, time flies. This February will be my five year anniversary of writing fanfiction. I feel like I've really grown up since I first got this account, but it's as much a part of my life as it was four years ago. It's a weird feeling, but a good one for sure. I'm getting into the Star Wars fandom. I posted a four shot for it a while back, and Into the Unknown Regions is my first full length fic for it, not to mention my April Camp NaNo project. I'm not leaving AA behind, not by a long shot, but let's just say there might be some competition for my main fandom in the near future. If you have any questions/just want to say hello, don't be afraid to do so! Thanks for checking out my profile, and I'll see you on the far side! -Pierce |
