Author has written 4 stories for Star Trek: 2009, and Homicide: Life on the Streets.

"Ellison Spinrad", aside from being a toss of my hat to two terrific writers, one of whom is one of my favorite people generally, is also the name of a character in my fourth year student film, "The Unbelievable Story of Ellison Spinrad, Aria Von Sniper, and the Puzzle of Easy Enlightenment" which was nominated for Best Film produced outside the US at the Student Film Academy Awards a long time ago.

My name is Jai Dixit and I am primarily a filmmaker (specifically a screenwriter, director, and a sometime reluctant producer). In addition to being paid to write a number of movies that never got made, my first feature film as a filmmaker, "It All Happens Incredibly Fast," a low budget (but expensive seeming) intense psychological character-driven thriller with a lot of black comedy, proved a success at film festivals across America, was picked up for distribution n both the US and Canada, was purchased by several movie TV channels and, once all rights reverted back to me, you can see it now - -in full, for free - - on YouTube.
