Announcements/Updates: "Heya, Hadro! You're focusing on a single fic, why are updates so slow?" I am! I am primarily focusing on one fic, but... just because there is an overblown virus going around, doesn't mean I have a lot of free time. I'll avoid diving into details, but... I'm still working and when I'm not working I'm either sleeping or... doing some time with one of the five DnD groups I'm a part of. So yeah, just don't have much time to spare. Disclaimers: I realize that not everyone has the same tastes, or they may not interpret certain unspoken parts of a given subject. Things will be posted that might not be popular, however that is no excuse to leave flames, I would like to trust that such comments won't be used, as I believe we are able to express as we please, within reason. On the topic of comments/reviews... I highly encourage anyone that has an account to review with that account and not as a Guest! Me, if by me, then I mean the original Hadronix: It would probably be nice if my little introduction had its own area, rather than being under the disclaimer... what am I doing, disclaiming myself? Hello, there. My name is Hadronix... I also go with: Hadro, Yasei, Selene, Raven, Lotus, Hadyah, and Hadronixia. The name originates from World of Warcraft, it was made with the Black Dragonflight dragon named 'Onyxia', to which I added 'Hadr-' and removed '-ia'. It was most certainly not made from the Azjol-Nerub boss 'Hadronox'! I am the original Hadronix, a Pandaren Beast Mastery Hunter, my main pet of choice is Yumigami, with the beast being Gaara, obtainable in Draenor. Mining and Engineering are my primary professions. Though, here's a bit of backstory for the World of Warcraft Hadronix... she wasn't always a Pandaren, nuuupe. In fact, before I had her race changed which comes with a name change, she was Bestialblood, a female Orc Beast Mastery Hunter. The true original Hadronix was originally an OC... a different OC than she is now, obviously. A female Orc Warrior, specialized in the obsolete 'Gladiator' build. Granted she was made before 'Gladiator Stance' was introduced, but since it has been since then, it's the easiest way to compare her. Ultimately, I didn't like her backstory, so she was kinda brushed to the side... until I got the idea for my new Hadronix to be a Hunter, and now here she is. A change for the best, methinks. I tend to project a certain set of emotions and quirks onto Hadronix: She is the character I'd like to be: Quick, witty, skilled. But, she is not without her own flaws, despite her seemingly invulnerable nature in 'Thirst for Blood': Insecurity hidden by sarcasm, helplessness when her usual tactics fail, highly possessive of a few people, even willing to choose 'the few over the many' when it comes to those people. Raven is what I typically am when not typing fanfiction and in front of a computer screen: Socially anxious, reserved, quiet, helpful. The third chunk of me goes to Lotus, what I used to be, er... excluding the lusty part of her: Quick to anger, spiteful, insulting. The 'rest of me' is spread throughout the characters that make continuous appearances: Yasei has the most, Lupus, the Robin paired with Nowi, and finally the version of Nah shown in 'A Taste of My World'... she's the one to hold fears. There is also Selene, but she hasn't made it onto the fics, yet. As for what I like to do? The obvious ones here are fanfiction, listening to music, playing video games. I'm sure that much could be assumed. I'm certain that my interest in light novels, some manga and anime could also be foreseen. Keep 'dem zombies away from me, I don't care for that. I get the appeal and can't deny their popularity, but I'm not for it. Werewolves or vampires? Oh, that's a simple one, considering there are a grand total of zero vampires across my fics, but there are several versions of what a werewolf could be. Genres of choice? While I do tend to lean more towards story-heavy games, I can't deny the catharsis that comes from mowing over enemies. I stay away from one-on-on fighters, and there's only one series of First Person Shooters I will touch: The Metroid Prime trilogy. Now then, with that out of the way. I have no problem going through and tearing apart most fics I write. Exclusions are the 'Thirst for Blood' series and commissions from other people. Just because I type up a topic or a character in a certain way, doesn't mean that I support it. 'Standard' extreme topics that I cover are: Gore, Abuse, and Vore, both in the soft and hard varieties. For those who don't know, Soft vore is non-lethal, the prey usually gets swallowed whole, and is spat back up later. Hard vore can include the prey being ripped apart and chewed, includes scenes of digestion and death. What I will not write is a standard re-telling, not that I have anything against them. I can take requests, but know that it will probably take me a while to get to. Do try to leave comments, especially ideas of your own. Trust me, all it takes is one figment of some idea and it could potentially end up adding a whole new plot point or a different fic altogether. I hope you all will enjoy what is posted. Or maybe you won't. Who knows? Terms: Shifter: Anyone who can use either a Dragonstone or Beaststone. 'Dragon', 'Beast', 'Animals' vs. 'dragon' or 'beast': This one is going to come out confusing to most at first. The first set, that starts with a capital letter, will also have a possessive noun front of it. Like, 'Her Dragon', 'His Beast', 'My Animals'. This refers to the mindset associated with being a Shifter, it is the animalistic mentality. The latter, with the lowercase, refers to the actual form itself. Blessed: Refers to a Tribal member: Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Dawn, or Dusk, who has been chosen by their respective Dragon and is granted greater power. Each Blessed person's attunement comes out different. Corrin and Kana can use this power to shape shift into a visage of their dragon. Rinkah can use her power to summon pools and pillars of flame. Diluted (One): Derogatory term for someone whose connection to their corresponding Dragon is so weak that they have great trouble using their Tribal powers. Communer: The one person for each Dragon God that is the designated 'speaker' for that specific Dragon. While a Communer can be Blessed, it isn't required. Common Things across my fics: Shifters, as in Taguel, Manaketes, Wolfskin, Kitsunes, etc. have enhanced senses. They are typically able to smell out emotions. Shifters also go into heat. Lastly, they also are typically depicted with physical attributes closer to their real life counterparts, so the bitches have eight nipples, and the males have complete control when they mate with females. Female Manaketes in their dragon form lack breasts and their inner walls are very hot, while males sport the two-pronged reptilian members. Prince Leo is a big brother to Corrin. It's just how I view him. Takumi remains a younger brother. Nah, when her father is Robin, suffered abuse from an adoptive family in between the time of losing Nowi and Robin, but before Grima's return. Nah, when her father is Henry, has a twin brother named Yeah. Staves from Fire Emblem only heal physical wounds, they have no effect on infections, diseases, poisons, and the like. Basically, if the wound is directly from a physical weapon, like a sword, then a staff can heal it. If the character gets food poisoning, they're on their own. Spells and abilities from WoW usually get their resource cost jacked up, or a large cast time added, there are very few 'instant cast' spells. For any fic, there is no definite 'classing'. So, a Mercenary in Fire Emblem could be trained in more than just swords, it's just that those units are most proficient in swords. This extends to 'Master Seals' and any other item like them. If a character wants to go from being a Spear Fighter to a Pegasus Knight, they're going to have to change their training to match the latter. WoW characters follow the Classic to WotLK style talent system, so for example, Hadronix is a Beast Master Hunter, but she also has a helping of Survival via her expertise in traps, though then again, that could also be attributed to her skill in Engineering. I have no problem bashing characters, killing them off, or dropping down extreme paths, however I can also promise that this does not apply to commissions/requests or anything dealing with or containing Yasei. I assure you now, these don't happen because I'm simply 'bored'. Situations that come out as 'dull' or 'unnecessary' are intentional. I like to think it adds to my charm... ;) A note on how I handle text: When it comes to dialogue, I have grown accustomed to three ways of typing it out. First is normal speech, "Plain words inside of quotation marks." Next is a character's thoughts, 'Italics in between apostrophes.' And finally, there are direct quotes that a character remembers, either something they themselves have spoken, or from someone else, "Italics that has quotation marks on the ends." However! This is also used for telepathic messages. Bold is specifically used for stress, if a word is "Bold inside of quotation marks." It means the character is yelling that word, as I don't like to write anything in all caps. As it has probably been seen, I don't indent. I use single spacing along with 'add space after paragraph'. Custom characters, with their own names: Yasei (Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates): Appearance, if you were to boot up the game it's: Body = F1, Hair = 08, Acc. = 03, Color = 28, Face = 05, Detail = 01, and Voice = F2. Personalities, she has two: One is the default/canon 'Corrin' side, her 'Human', and the second is a primal/wild 'Shifter' side, her 'Dragon'. She favors her dragon-related abilities over her sword. When in battle, she heeds her Dragon, letting her relish in ripping through her enemies as the scent of blood and fresh meat invigorates her. Quick to anger due to her Dragon, she's also fiercely protective. She can't tell a lie to save her life, and struggles with maintaining a balance between her Human and Dragon. Bonus Note: Most likely to draw blood. Loves her dragon form. Phoenix (Morgan from Fire Emblem Awakening): Daughter of Robin and Tiki. She lacks any physical resemblance to Robin, so she looks just like her mother. Her skill in tactics is lower than Robin, but she has raw magical power to compensate. Her dragon form is actually weaker than her magic. With the blood of both the Divine Dragon and Fel Dragon, she holds a constant internal battle. Cold, but approachable, she's willing to manipulate anyone if it means a favorable outcome. One of the two characters that you should never take words at face value. Bonus Note: Most consistent about not getting proper sleep. Hadronix (Pandaren Hunter from World of Warcraft, roughly arriving around the Warlords of Draenor expansion): Red Panda-style fur, jade green eyes. Armor is the Striker's Garb from Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, while the helm is the Bloody Bandanna from a quest in the Tavern building for The Grimrail Depot, her bow is Huhuran's Stinger from Princess Huhuran in Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. Mining and Engineering, along with First Aid and some Fishing. She's a Beast Mastery/Survival mix. She's an Engineering mastermind, and uses that to make up for her physical flaws. Her pets are: Ruinad the Spirit Eagle, 'Ban'thalos', from Mount Hyjal. Yumigami the Void Wolf, 'Gaara' from Draenor. Bethy the Pyroarachnid, 'Deth'tliac', from the Molten Front. Sarcastic and pessimistic, willing to deceive if it means victory is assured. One of the two characters that you should never take words at face value. She'll protect her pets and Raven above all, even at the cost of her own life. She also has a horrible streak of attracting trouble. Bonus Note: If the Apocalypse were to target, cover, and destroy the entire world, then the area she is in will somehow end up being left untouched... but there would also probably be a number of other things left to kill her, as well. Raven (Pandaren Monk from WoW, arrives with Hadronix): Looks literally exactly like Hadronix. Armor is a more generic blue-green color made of leather. She loves to help and explore, and as such has managed to stumble upon both Sheilun, Staff of the Mists and Fist of the Heavens, which is what landed the two there in the first place. Cooking is the only trained profession she has, while she has dabbled in a few others. She's primarily a Mistweaver, though she has some training in Windwalking and 'Fistweaving'. Has a big case of social anxiety, despite her deep love for wanting to help everyone. She can come out as naive, but honest. She loathes fighting, but can hold her own if cornered. She also has an incredible streak of encountering no enemies on her travels. Bonus Note: Wishes she could cook more often. Lotus (Pandaren Rogue from WoW, snuck along for the ride with Raven and Hadronix): Looks almost exactly like Hadronix and Raven, but slightly more... endowed. Her armor set is incredibly skimpy in the color scheme of red, also has an eyepatch, but that's merely just for show. She has came across the previous owner of the Dreadblades, and now they're hers. She's a contract killer... that is specced as an Outlaw, and as such rarely uses poisons. She would rather let her target know that she is to kill them, and face them head on. She initially trained as a Monk, but through a series of events, went from that to some Warrior training, before landing as a Rogue. Sultry, vengeful, and almost heartless, she could shamelessly flirt one moment, and run the person through the next. She holds grudges and has an almost one track mind to kill those who crossed her. She specifically only kills those on contracts, and those who get in her way with a kill. Ironically, she is one of the most honest and trustworthy people you can come across... as long as you aren't a name on one of her contracts. She holds Raven in high regards, being her only friend she ever made. Bonus Note: The only one who would murder someone after having sex with them. Lupus (Corrin from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): She is the middle sister of the brood and her Draconic name is Ztisepzy. She is, at the most basic, a toned down version of Yasei. Due to being raised by Wolfskin and the fact that she is half-dragon, she displays a number of habits that align with Yasei. Lupus goes into heat, she understands the concept of mating, and she can stomach less-cooked meat, but not raw like the other beast-races can. She isn't bloodthirsty, nor does she have the aggressiveness Yasei displays. Her mindset is a mix of the 'Shifter' and 'Human' mentalities, but since she's had them her whole life, it doesn't cause conflict as it did with Yasei. She can also be quite clueless when it comes to 'normal' Human behavior. In English, her Draconic name translates to Yseranyx. Bonus Note: Claims that 'human etiquette' ruins food. Cimmefuppe (Half-Dragon OC from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): Youngest sister of the brood. While she rarely speaks above a whisper, she is by no means shy. She's the most 'human' out of the brood, and she's the most most affected by their mother's death. Tends to retreat into the comfort of her siblings, primarily the eldest sister. However, she also leans towards nice people. She dislikes fighting and death, but will also not hesitate to defend herself or those she holds dear. In English, her name is Belladonna. Unique Ability: Can siphon toxins into her body/food or out of her body/food. Her body also naturally supplies toxins. Bonus Note: The volume of her speech is dictated to the amount of toxicity in her body. Utvseie (Half-Dragon OC from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): Eldest sister of the brood. She assumed the role of the 'mother' after their mother's death. She claims to be the 'most patient' since she spent most of her life keeping the brothers in check while also giving Cimmefuppe proper attention. She's the only one in the brood who is decent at any healing, magical or otherwise. She tends to snap back quickly, but never really gets violent. In English, her name is Ostraea. Bonus Note: Is most certainly not the most patient. Pimtvsetbe (Half-Dragon OC from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): Eldest brother of the brood. Highly prideful of his draconic heritage, unfortunately he is also the most violent as he tends to give into the ecstasy of killing. Utvseie had tried to quell his behavior... but only really succeeded in making sure he doesn't tackle something he doesn't understand. In English, his name is Nelstrasza. Bonus Note: Is the only one willing to swallow an entire creature with their clothes and armor. Nalaptijep (Half-Dragon OC from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): Middle brother of the brood. Is seemingly detached from the rest with his more monotone voice and general uninterest in those around him. This detachment also results in him willing to do the more morally wrong tasks, though he doesn't tend to always do so. He has an obsession with 'life energies', whether it be from remote digestion via his partially shifted maw... or hoarding food. In English, his name is Mukanshin. Unique ability: Can form needle-like throwing weapons steeped in a clear liquid that causes temporary full-body paralyses. Bonus Note: Loves fruit, specifically apples to the point of hoarding them. However, he also craves direct digestion via his partially shifted maw. Qsoeqat (Half-Dragon OC from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): Youngest brother of the brood. Vows to repopulate the dragons, and since puberty struck him incredibly hard, he does so with an obsessive level of mating. If the female can hold his sperm, he'll mate. Utvseie eventually gotten tired of his constant sex drive and simply directed him to go to the mountains and mate with the female Wolfskin. A suggestion that is an outstanding success... since through his style of ruling, he has access to over five packs worth of female Wolfskin and own almost the entire southern range of mountains. In English, his name is Priapus. Bonus Note: Puberty. Struck. Hard. Will probably spend more time mating and with his dual-headed draconic penis inside of a female's inner walls than actually going out and doing things. He is also a surprisingly superb leader. Hera (Pure-blooded Dragon OC from 'Corrin, of the Wolfskin'): Currently, she's a black-scaled dragon with black eyes. She's primarily soulless, holding a fraction of Qsoeqat's soul in her. Despite being barely over thirty years old, she's exceptionally powerful due to magical experiments forced on her by Nyx. Her natural Wild Magic has been mixed with Dark Magic and she's easily the most magically potent character in this AU. Artemis (Three-fourth dragon, one-fourth human OC from 'Scales, Fur, and Skin'): Verdant green-scaled and green eye daughter of Qsoeqat and Hera. She has her mother's original colors... too young to described much more right now. Kanzō (Half-Kitsune/human OC from 'Scales, Fur, and Skin'): Daughter of Kagero and Kaden, she retains her mother's black hair color across both forms, while also having a white stomach and golden-tipped ears and tail... her eyes are also a striking gold color, which seems to glow. She follows her mother's footsteps to become a Ninja, though she applies her innate Kitsune skills and magic to further boost her Ninja skills. Liavio (Lead Dancer from 'Vanity'): The instructor and lead dancer… is basically Olivia from Awakening, just without the shyness. Mirande (Corrin, but as an Elite Dancer from 'Vanity): Aside from her canon personality, there is a darker undertone to her behavior when she’s alone… she’s heavily concerned about her appearance, she’s also slightly taller than the rest. Yserna (Eldest Elite Dancer from 'Vanity'): The second best dancer, next to Echo, who first found out about Mirande in the streets of Crynkesia… she hails from Izumo. Atsuna (Youngest Elite Dancer from 'Vanity'): The newest dancer, she’s still adjusting to the stress of being on the elite team and can be shy. Echo (Elite Dancer from 'Vanity'): The best of the elite group, she’s darker skinned, and the only real problem she has is her high metabolism, which keeps her just a bit too skinny. WiPs: Some of these already have chapters posted, some may not even be here at all. I'm not working on all of these at the same time, the ones I am doing are under the Focusing section.
