Author has written 5 stories for Doctor Who, and Yu-Gi-Oh. Hi! I'm Wild Vivid Imagination, and this is my profile, where you can find some information about me and my fanfics. I'll try to keep it as brief as I can, but I have a habit of getting long-winded so apologies in advance for that. Name: Wild Vivid Imagination (you can call me WVI if you want something shorter... or Elisa. Elisa is my real name.) Age: 17. I have but a few months left of my treasured youth. Gender/Sexual Orientation: (Cis) Female, Asexual (Yes, it's actually a real thing, and it doesn't mean I can clone myself. Do everyone a favour and just google it.) Place of residence: Somewhere in the wilderness of Finland, in a place I probably shouldn't specify. To be fair, it's a really uninteresting place where nothing ever happens, so you probably don't want to know either way. Spoken languages: Swedish, Finnish, English, some really basic French and German (Please don't try to talk to me in French or German - it'll be embarrassing for us both) Some other random things you probably weren't interested in: I'm in my last year of High School, I want to work with Human Rights in the future, I have a generally positive outlook on life, I have very few friends but they're all very precious to me, I'm an Atheist, I know more about Pokémon games than any person should, and I'm extremely over-empathic. I also have mild Asperger's Syndrome to the degree that I'm always scared that I'll come across as blunt or rude when interacting with someone (especially online), so if I ever end up writing something really awkward it's probably because of that... I apologise in advance. Fandoms: I have a lot, but I only actually write and read for Yu-Gi-Oh! (the original manga/DM) at the moment, so I don't know if I should bother mentioning anything else... What can I say, I can't focus on more than one thing at a time, but when I do, I get really into it. Even to the point that I actually have a list of things I will or will not read. The "will not read" list is more important, and it's in order of importance (kind of). I will NOT read a fanfiction if... ...there's character bashing in it. Character bashing honestly makes me feel physically ill. Especially female character bashing. Yes, Anzu bashers, no matter how good your fic is, I will stop reading it the moment I spot any signs of bashing. God knows how many fics I've tried to read but had to stop because Anzu bashing makes me so angry. She wasn't even one of my favourite characters from the start, but now I've developed a fierce love for her and an instinct to defend her with my life because of y'all. Stop. I like Puzzleshipping, but fics like that are starting to make me... not like it. That's a scary thought. ...the average chapter is too short. If your chapters are shorter than 1.000 words, I'm not even going to bother giving it a try because there's no way you can convey enough interesting things in a chapter that short. Of course, this is only valid for story-telling fics. It's all right if it's like... a series of poems or drabbles or something. But if you're writing a chapter-format fic with a story to tell... then no. I can understand that this is difficult for writers who are just starting out, but then you just have to practice. Read a lot, and improve. ...there are obvious spelling/grammar errors. Like constantly mixing up "your" and "you're", or "their" and "there" and "they're", or names written without capital letters in the beginning, or some other constant mistake that irks me. I can understand if you have dyslexia or something similar that makes spelling/grammar difficult, or if English isn't your native language, but it's not that difficult to fix. Just use spell check, or get someone to beta read for you. English isn't my native language either, but if you don't know the language well enough to use proper grammar, you probably shouldn't be posting fics written in the language...I WILL read a fanfiction if... ...there's Tendershipping in it. Even though chances are it'll probably include all those things I mentioned hating, I'll probably try to read it anyway because I'm 100% Tendershipping trash. Even if it just ends up making me angry and spiteful and full of deep regret. This also goes for any other ship I always want fanfics for, including Gemshipping, Darkshipping, Casteshipping, Thiefshipping, Bakushipping, Geminishipping, Eclipse(formerly known as Bronze)shipping, and probably some other ship I forgot. (I do ship a lot more things than these; these are just the ones I actively hunt fics for.) ...it follows canon facts. Fanfics that are set in the canon universe are always more interesting to me than AU universes. I also don't like it when people mix different canons, like using English names for some characters and Japanese for some. ...it's original. Haven't we had enough Puzzleshipping fics with Anzu bashing and with Puppyshipping, Tendershipping and Bronzeshipping as side pairings? Am I the only one who gets bored of High School AUs which feel like they're all exactly like each other? I like a cliché fic if it has some sort of twist on the cliché that makes it more unique.I'll probably add some more stuff later, but I'm lazy and I don't feel like doing that right now.
