Hello, my name is Steven. I have published two DooM novels in a series, The Ultimate Experiment & Portal to Chaos.

They are based on ID Software's DOOM series, Portal to Chaos takes place before and during the UAC teleporter accident, and The Ultimate Experiemnt takes place during the events of Hell On Earth. Much of the sci-fi elements were inspired through reading Star-Trek novels. Events that occur in the games are taken into account to the best of my knowledge. Also, inspiration from events in multi-player and current mods helped to mold the world in TUE story, most notably is Brutal DOOM, and playing online co-op on zandorium against apocalyptic amounts of monsters.

Please be advised that there are depictions of violence, heavily in TUE, and a few splashes in PTC. I hope that by reading my work, that you appreciate the amount of inspiration that people in the DOOM community get from the series, why its as popular today as it was in 1993. This is a work of love, I feel that this series has provided so much enjoyment and vivid inspiration, that this is my way of saying thank you to the creators, the content creators, and the DOOM community, one of the funniest and friendliest communities on the web.
