She was nurturing and smart, he was cynical and distrusting and the story of Jughead Jones was just that; in his head. Jug's life revolved around a small group of things - laughs with Archie, the lace that Betty insists of wearing and stolen cigarettes but when Betty starts to take over his mind, Jug doesn't know what to do, or at least, doesn't know how to act on it. Lemons!

When Betty suddenly finds herself without a plus one for her sister's wedding, she panics and asks her friendly (albeit brooding) neighborhood bartender to come with as her date. Betty/Jughead Riverdale AU Rated M for swears/just to be safe.

Betty dropped out of University after the pressure of living up to her parents expectations gets too much. She moves to LA with Kevin, where she meets Jughead, a man who never looked like he smiled and who rode a motorbike, and is definitely not the kind of guy that she ever thought she would fall for. Bughead.

Consistency is one way to avoid shock. You can't be freaked if you know what's going to happen. Sure, Jughead maybe cynical but not without his reasons. He was still plastered to the side of Archie and shielded by the tough exterior of Veronica but he did not foresee the return of Betty Cooper or how she would fit seamlessly back into his very consistently, ordinary life.

"Woah Betty, it's me, Jughead!" He began backing up. "What are you doing?" Jughead from the comics mysteriously appears in the TV version of Riverdale, and he realizes what he's been missing. Bughead story! Non-ace Jughead. Please review! Let me know what you think!

Following B & V's evening confronting and nearly drowning Chuck in Ethel's hot tub, Betty meets up with Jughead for a change of pace. Jughead's there to talk Betty down and, ahem, *vigorously* assure her she's sexier without the wig. Rated M for steaminess that has nothing to do with the showers of this story's locker room backdrop.

Betty finds Jughead sleeping at school. He tells her his secret. Naps ensue. Fluff.
