Author has written 22 stories for Magnificent Seven, Maverick, and 77 Sunset Strip. I'm a southerner, a country girl, and a horseman. I live on a small farm with dogs, cats, horses, and donkeys, and I love writing. I do often work on multiple stories at a time and I'm really trying to get better about updating. I started writing for The Magnificent Seven (Chris is my favorite with Ezra coming in a really close second) and then strayed over into Maverick territory. Although poetic licenses are necessary at times, I'm a history buff and try to keep my writing as historically accurate as possible. I not against straying into the modern world with a story, but my heart will always belong to old west. I do like hearing from my readers so feel free to tell me what you liked or loved, or even offer constructive criticism. As a side note, I have collaborated with another Maverick writer under the pen name the Maverick Boys, so feel free to check that out as well. Now that the basic stuff is out of the way, I'd like to add a more personal note concerning my stories The Making and Ezra Standish and The Life and Times of Buck Wilmington. I thought about putting this on the stories themselves but decided this would be a better way to do it. First off, I want to say that I've always said I wouldn't abandon these stories and I still have no intention of doing that. Having said that, both of these stories have gone on way longer than I ever thought they would. Honestly, when I started writing a life story, I had no idea what I was getting into. I was very new to putting my work out there for the world to see and I was totally unaware of what it would take to create a 30 year history for them. I still love the boys, I still love the stories, and I’ve put too much into them to just quit, but they have gone on for so long that I don’t always feel very motivated to work on them. Real life also gets in the way sometimes. I have a regular job (oddly neither writing nor horses pay the bills), a farm, I'm involved in barrel racing and local horse shows, I own several large animals, and I have a family. Once what I have to get done is taken care of, I don’t always have the time to write like I wish I could. When I do write, I write what I’m most excited about at the moment. I say all that to say, if you enjoy either one of these stories and would like to see more of them, let me know. I know they are still being read and I’m happy and humbled they are, especially since I know they see far too many long dry spells. Sometimes that’s the result of being stuck and not knowing where to go next and sometimes that’s just letting them sort of slide because they aren’t a priority for me. I have new ideas that I want to explore and sometimes these stories get to feeling a little stale to me. So if you're enjoying the story, drop me a review or a PM. If you ever get to feeling like it's been too long since you’ve seen an update, let me know. I do have a couple of readers who do this for my Buck story on occasion and it is truly appreciated. Sometimes that little nudge is all that’s needed to get my head back where it needs to be and give Buck and Ezra the attention they deserve. I appreciate every one of my fans and followers. Thanks for reading and for sticking with me through my dry times. |
