Incredible story...such tension and so well-written! The plot was well-paced and your characterizations were perfect. Though you do explore dark themes, you blend humor and angst with rare finesse. LeBeau's revenge was perfection! You are deserving of Favorites listings!

The sad part is the consequences for him are probably a lot less dire than for the Heroes. But at least they all got out of it alive.
Very good story; darker than the original show, but that's part of its charm.

It's a shame for poor ol' Newkirk (injuries), and Hogan (guilt). Like they say, "war is h*ll".

This was amazing! It was so tense, right from the beginning, and it had me on the edge of my seat and reading the whole thing in one go. Love how Newkirk and Hogan tried to support each other when they had been affected by the drug. Fantastic job!

This was a great story! It would have made a terrific two- or three-part episode if the show had ever gone for a really serious plot. You captured the characters perfectly, the emotions, the accents, the relationships. I really enjoyed reading this. Thanks!

What a great, well-written, suspenseful story! I love the use of DuBois in it, especially since you use Boucher as his alias (ironic of course because Hochstetter would certainly have recognized Boucher from the "Reverend Kommandant Klink" episode).

The use of Wilson was very well done, and all of the characters hit just the right note. Poor Newkirk and Hogan are noble in their suffering, but they react just as I would have expected, overcoming their very natural fear of the drug's effects to support each other.

Best of all are the little touches of humor that lighten the ominous tone of the story; the chapter titles are fabulous!

And of course the evil Hochstetter getting his just deserts and Klink sort of apologizing to Hogan is a very satisfying way to end the story.

The most stunning, one-of-a-kind, adrenaline-packed stories my mind could have -never- come up with. Bits and Pieces, you’re a stunning writer. I’ve heard books touted as “you can’t put it down,” but invariably, I do. Not with this one. I could barely hear what people were saying around me, I was so trapped in your world. My heart just breaks for Hogan and Newkirk. Everything was so powerful, and I love it how you mingled comedy into such seriousness; it’s a delicate pacing tool necessity to all stories. I really applaud you. There are so many good bits of writing all over, but I can’t mention them all. It was all just too good.

My sister and I read the story last night, and she is absolutely a fan of it. The best HH story she ever saw, she said. We started reading at 9:30, and I thought we’d have to put it down and continue it the next day, but, no, she too wanted to push on and we slept at 1:30 am, satisfied with the conclusion, riveting suspense, and heart-clutching moments – and meditating on its epic uniqueness.

The characterization and story were superb. Often, characterization stories let up the story part, and a story based on action lets up the characterization. But here, both were balanced and emphasized. Perfect! Did you get an award for this? Because it so, so, so deserves one.

Very excellent story. Poor Hogan and Newkirk put through the wringer! I thought that the leads were written very true to form. The way that the drug stuff was handled was well done-you feel bad for Hogan but you can't blame Newkirk for being ill at ease. What happened at the end was perfect. I'll definitely be reading this one again.

Another great story. You had me worried for both Newkirk and Hogan there for a while. Glad it all worked out in the end. Liked the part where Wilson put the responsibility for Newkirk's recoup in Hogan's hands - another case of getting a taste of his own medicine since Hogan is notorious for misbehaving while healing.
