![]() Author has written 20 stories for Austin & Ally, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Hunger Games, and Harry Potter. - You must be bigger, And stronger, And tougher. It's the rule of the Wilds. - But...books are so much more. Some of them are webs; you can feel your way along their threads, but just barely, into strange and dark corners. Some of them are balloons bobbing up through the sky: totally self-contained, and unreachable, but beautiful to watch. Books are proof humans can do magic. Favorite song/s- There are too many to name. R5 stuff. Anything All Time Low. JT is cool too. Favorite band- R5, of course. ;) But All Time Low is amazing. Birthday- 53rd Jelember 2099. Before a test, you pray to Athena to give you her wisdom. 2. Whenever the internet is down, you think Hermes is on your case. 3. When there's a thunderstorm, you yell: "Zeus, chill!". 4. When you see an owl, you say: "Hey, Athena!" 5. You never look at a ballpoint pen the same way again. 6. You go to Empire State Building and check for the 600th floor. 7. You give all your friends god parents. 14. You have read every single Percy Jackson book at least 2 times. 15. Wisdom's daughter walks alone, The Mark of Athena burns through Rome. Twins snuff out the angel's breath, Who holds the key to endless death, Giants' bane stands gold and pale, Won through pain from a woven jail. “It'll be dangerous," Nyssa warned him. "Hardship, monsters, terrible suffering. Possibly none of you will come back alive." "Oh." Suddenly Leo didn't look so excited. Then he remembered everyone was watching. "I mean... Oh, cool! Suffering? I love suffering! Let's do this.” ― Leo Valdez, The Lost Hero “Gaea?” Leo shook his head. “Isn't that Mother Nature? She’s supposed to have, like, flowers in her hair and birds singing around her and dear and rabbits doing her laundry.” “Leo, that’s Snow White,” Piper said.” ― Leo Valdez, The Lost Hero “This is Leo. I'm the... What's my title? Am I like, admiral, or captain, or..." "Repair boy." "Very funny, Piper.” ― Leo Valdez, The Son of Neptune “She wanted me to betray you guys, and I was like, 'Pfft, right, I'm gonna listen to a face in the potty sludge'.” ― Leo Valdez , The Lost Hero “Annabeth gripped the hilt of her dagger. “A bounty on our heads…as if we didn't attract enough monsters already.” “Do we get WANTED posters?” Leo asked. “And do they have our bounties, like, broken down on a price list?” Hazel wrinkled her nose. “What are you talking about?” “Just wondering how much I’m going for these days,” Leo said. “I mean, I can understand not being as pricey as Percy or Jason, maybe…but am I worth, like, two Franks, or three Franks?” ― Leo Valdez, The Mark of Athena "Mussolini? Wasn't he like Hitler's BFF?" - Leo Valdez, The Mark Of Athena Quotes from some of my favourite books: "We'll be seeing the same clouds, feeling the same breeze on our faces. At least that way we'll be together." - Michael Morpurgo, Private Peaceful "Then I looked down at my star, and squeezed it tight. It made me feel better. That silver star always has, ever since." - Michael Morpurgo, Shadow "I miss him, like I miss Alfie, like I miss Becky. But I've got Joe now, and Joe's got me, and we're fine." - Michael Morpurgo, Born to Run "I saw the grey soldiers ahead of us raise their rifles and heard the death rattle of a machine gun..." - Michael Morpurgo, War Horse "They were safe, but he felt no triumph, only relief." - Michael Morpurgo, Friend or Foe "I've already decided that when I grow up, I'll find a job where you don't need to wear those socks that go up to your knees." - Jeff Kinney, Wimpy Kid (The Third Wheel) "As Mo had said: writing stories is a kind of magic, too." - Cornelia Funke, Inkheart “Wow," Thalia muttered. "Apollo is hot." “What if it lines up like it did in the Trojan War ... Athena versus Poseidon?" “Hades raised an eyebrow. When he sat forward in his throne, shadowy faces appeared in the folds of his black robes, faces of torment,as if the garment was stitched of trapped souls from the Fields of Punishment, trying to get out. The ADHD part of me wondered, off-task, whether the rest of his clothes were made the same way. What horrible things would you have to do in your life to get woven into Hades' underwear?” - Rick Riordan, The Lighting Thief “Percy: Don't I get a kiss for luck? It's kind of a tradition, right? “Afterward, I had the last laugh. I made an air bubble at the bottom of the lake. Our friends kept waiting for us to come up, but hey-when you are the son of Poseidon, you don't have to hurry. And it was pretty much the best underwater kiss of all time.” - Rick Riordan, The Last Olympian “Monkey bar," Annabeth said. "I'm great at these." She leaped onto to the first rung and start swinging her way across. She was scared of tiny spiders, but not of plummeting to her death from a set of monkey bars. Go figure.” Rick Riordan, The Battle Of The Labyrinth “Back in my day, we died all the time, and we liked it!” - Rick Riordan, The Son of Neptune “Two hundred Romans, and no one’s got a pen? Never mind!" He slung his M16 onto his back and pulled out a hand grenade. There were many screaming Romans. Then the hand grenade morphed into a ballpoint pen, and Mars began to write. Frank looked at Percy with wide eyes. He mouthed: Can your sword do grenade form? Percy mouthed back, No. Shut up.” - Rick Riordan, The Son of Neptune “Life is only precious because it ends, kid.” - Rick Riordan, The Son of Neptune “There!" Mars finished writing and threw the scroll at Octavian. "A prophecy. You can add it to your books, engrave it on the floor, whatever." Octavian read the scroll. "This says, 'Go to Alaska. Find Thanatos and free him. Come back by sundown on June twenty-fourth or die'." "You don't forget the face of the person who was your last hope." - Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games "'Katniss', he says. I go over and brush the hair back from his eyes. 'Thanks for finding me.'" - Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games "I take his hand, holding on tightly, preparing for the cameras, and dreading the moment when I will finally have to let go." - Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games "You could live a thousand lifetimes and not deserve him, you know." - Suzanne Collins, Catching Fire "This is no place for a girl on fire." Suzanne Collins, Catching Fire "I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now, and live it forever." - Suzanne Collins, Catching Fire "Fire is catching, and if we burn, you burn with us." - Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay "I clench his hands to the point of pain. 'Stay with me.' His pupils contracts to pinpoints, dilate rapidly, and then return to something resembling normality. 'Always,' he murmurs." - Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay So after, when he whispers, 'You love me. Real or not real?' I tell him, 'Real.'" - Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay "Fear doesn't shut you down. it wakes you up." - Veronica Roth, Divergent "'Peter would probably throw a party if I stopped breathing.' 'Well,' he says, 'I would only go if there was cake.'" - Veronica Roth, Divergent "I might be in love with you." He smiles a little. "I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you, though." - Veronica Roth, Divergent "'Sleep,' he says. 'I'll fight the bad dreams off if they come to get you.' 'With what?' 'My bare hands, obviously.'" - Veronica Roth, Insurgent "'Got that gun?' Peter says to Tobias. 'No,' says Tobias, 'I figured I would shoot the bullets out of my nostrils, so I left it upstairs.'" - Veronica Roth, Insurgent “I’ll be your family now,” he says."'I love you,' I say. I said that once, before I went to Erudite headquarters, but he was asleep then. I don’t know why I didn't say it when he could hear it. Maybe I was afraid to trust him with something so personal as my devotion. Or afraid that I did not know what it was to love someone. But now I think the scary thing was not saying it before it was almost too late. Not saying it before it was almost too late for me. I am his, and he is mine, and it has been that way all along. He stares at me. I wait with my hands clutching his arms for stability as he considers his response. "I'll say it one last time: Be brave." - Veronica Roth, Allegiant "When her body first hit the net, all I registered was a gray blur. I pulled her across it and her hand was small, but warm, and then she stood before me, short and thin and plain and in all ways unremarkable- except that she had jumped first. The stiff had jumped first. "You're not very nice," I say, grinning. "Shouldn't someone give a pep talk or something?" Minho asked, pulling Thomas's attention away from Alby. "Go ahead," Newt replied. "Great. We're all bloody inspired." Newt said." - James Dashner, The Maze Runner "I promised him!" he screamed, realizing even as he did so that his voice was laced with something wrong. Almost insanity. "I promised I'd save him, take him home! I promised him!" - James Dashner, The Maze Runner "Minho snickered and leaned back in his chair. "Man, you are one butt-load of sunshine, let me tell you." - James Dashner, The Maze Runner "He who leaps for the sky may fall, it's true. But he may also fly." - Delirium, Lauren Oliver "It's the way he says my name: like music." - Delirium, Lauren Oliver "Find the things that matter, and hold on to them, and fight for them, and refuse to let them go." - Delirium, Lauren Oliver "If you’re smart, you care. And if you care, you love." - Pandemonium, Lauren Oliver "We all need mantras, I guess - stories we tell ourselves to keep us going." - Pandemonium, Lauren Oliver "I want to know." His words are a whisper, barely audible. "I want to know with you." - Pandemonium, Lauren Oliver "And you can't love, not fully, unless you are loved in return." - Requiem, Lauren Oliver "How did I love her? "I remember Lena's expression when he knocked on the door; and how Alex had looked at her when she finally let him into the storeroom. I remember exactly what he was wearing, too, and the mess of his hair, the sneakers with their blue-tinged laces. His right shoe was untied. He didn't notice. As miserable as Gregor felt about being dumped with a rat, his heart ached for Vikus. He wanted to scream at Luxa, "Say something! Don't let your granpa fly off like this! Four of us aren't coming back!" But the words caught in his throat. Part of him wasn't ready to forgive Vikus for abandoning them, either. "Vikus looked at Luxa and opened his arms. She stood, still frozen, staring at him as if he were a complete stranger. "Fly you high, Gregor the Overlander. Fly you high!" - Gregor the Overlander, Suzanne Collins "Remember that time in the minivan, twenty minutes ago, when we didn't die?" - Paper Towns, John Green "I spy with my little eye a great story." - Paper Towns, John Green "I feel like I might start crying and that I'm going to cry pee." - Paper Towns, John Green "AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!' he screamed. "I know so many last words. But I will never know hers." - Looking for Alaska, John Green "This one's for Alaska Young!" - Looking For Alaska, John Green "Books are the ultimate Dumpees: put them down and they’ll wait for you forever; pay attention to them and they always love you back." - An Abundance of Katherines, John Green "What is the point of being alive if you don't at least try to do something remarkable?" - An Abundance of Katherines, John Green "Something about telling that story made my gut grow back together." "How long was I asleep?" she whispered. He didn't respond. "How long was I asleep?" she asked again, and noticed a hint of red in his cheeks. "Celaena," Chaol said gently. And then she heard the scraping noise as his hand came into view, sliding across the flagstones. His fingertips stopped just at the edge of the white line. "Celaena," he breathed, his voice laced with pain--and hope. This was all she had left--his outstretched hand, and the promise of hope, of something better waiting on the other side of the line." - Throne of Glass, Sarah J. Maas "No matter what happens," she said quietly, "I want to thank you." "Some people have lives; some people have music." - Will Grayson, Will Grayson, John Green and David Levithan "You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friend’s nose." - Will Grayson, Will Grayson, John Green and David Levithan "me: just don't ask about his forty-three ex-boyfriends, okay? or ask him about why he's carrying around an axe. And this has been my profile. PM me if you want to fangirl. ;) Love you, awesome readers! |
