Hello! I am The Curse of Normality and have been reading fanfiction for years, so this account is a huge source of excitement for me!

Why, greetings, earthling! I'm deeply flattered that you somehow found your way to my profile page. What's my name? As far as you're concerned, it's the Curse of Normality. My age? Hmm… well, let's just say, if I was a witch (keyword, IF. A conjunction that deeply saddens me), then this September I would be riding the Hogwarts Express to the best magical school in Britain, and I would be entering the very WORST Harry Potter book's year. I'll leave that up to you to figure out ;). I am, proud to say, a nerd. A total nerd that can not stand poor grammar and lives to do algebra and whose cat's middle name is Galileo.

Writing is ultimately my favorite hobby, interest, and pass time. I LOVE the feeling that a writer gets when he or she is so deep into their own story that putting the pen down is a challenge; a feeling only rivaled by that tingly feeling that you get when you're at the climax of the best book in the world. I pity the people who see writing as a chore, due to the sheer lack of understanding of just how hugely words on paper can impact you.

My favorite book is nonexistent— it is simply impossible for me to choose between all of the unique options. I have the obvious ones that I love, such as the Hunger Games and Harry Potter, both beautiful series. But I also love the severely underrated ones, such as the GONE series by Michael Grant. GONE is fairly popular, but nowhere near where it deserves to be. I love the Eon/Eona duology (yup, that is indeed a word) by Alison Goodman, Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore, the Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan, the Maze Runner by James Dashner, BZRK by Michael Grant, the Inheritance series (I've only read the first one, but desperately want to get my hands on the rest), and so many, many more. No, I will not write fanfiction for every one of those. Most likely, I will stick to Harry Potter and Hunger Games, with perhaps some variety sprinkled into there. Who knows?

Yes, I am a huge procrastinator, but to me, there's always time for fanfiction. People say that if you're a talented writer, then spending time borrowing a fictional world is a mistake, but I say it's great practice, a way to focus on honing your writing skills without having to worry about creating your own plot and characters. Yes, it's wise to focus on original writing as well, but a fanfiction obsessions nothing to be ashamed of.

My favorite author on this website is currently xitsrealforusx, whose amazing and massive story, Always, is so beautiful, touching, accurate, and cannon that it has managed to hold my attention uninterruptedly since May of 2011. This is not an easy feat, as I am a very harsh critic and am not easily impressed by many stories. I honestly don't anticipate that I'll ever forget Always, and it has a special place in my heart, as much of a cliché as that is.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to spending time on this site and I can't wait to begin to publish stories. Thanks for reading all the way down here as I began to ramble a bit. ;)
