Author has written 23 stories for Song of the Lioness, Harry Potter, and Freaks and Geeks. Bio: Hallo! The name's Nicole, but on ff.n they call me Saphron, like the that Donovan song, "Mellow Yellow."I discovered ff.n in the 8th grade when I was but a wee thirteen year old, and began writing with a passion. Most of my work posted here is from that time period, and subsequently, is rather depressing and probably not all that good. (Although not all of it is, one of my faves is definitely the TP math triology, and that fic I wrote about turning "The Stump" into a toad...) However, now that I'm 20 and in college (UC Berkeley, Go Bears!) I hoped I've improved my writing skills somewhat. (I am an English major, after all.) Enjoy the old stuff and the new...I really just write for fun, because there's nothing so rewarding as creating something worthwhile, especially when it's accompanied by validation from one's peers (ie: a kickass reivew!) So I'd like to thank everyone who has/is/will review any of my work, without whose helpful hints and undying praise nothing would be written. Or at least nothing very good. (Seriously, it makes me so ridiculously happy to see a good review, it knocks my socks right off!) Stories: I've written for: Tamora Pierce, Freaks & Geeks, & Harry Potter. Status Report: Alanna Fics Homeward Bound: My long and rambling A/J adventure story. Temporarily on hiatus. It is NOT--repeat NOT--dead yet, but I need a break from it to work on... A Torrid Affair: Yet another A/J fic, this time of the romance/drama genre, that's geared towards a more mature audience due to its explicit sexual content. Nearly daily updates (huzzah!) Status Report: Kel Fics: An Interesting Day: A Kel fic I wrote AGES ago, and was reposting in its entirety before I got distracted by HB and ATA. I'm sure I'll return to it eventually. The Rainy Day Trip: COMPLETE; another long adventure Kel fic you might enjoy, if you're into those epic multi-chapter fics. Status Report: Misc. I'm not working on any other big projects at the moment, though a lot of my old stuff has a variety of chars (Joren, Owen, etc.) and are mostly one-shots with a few exceptions. I don't really like the Circle of Magic books (they're ok...) so don't expect anything but Tortall from me. Right now I'm in an Alanna phase, and will probably stay there for awhile. Ships: Everything! A/J and A/G, D/N, K/C, K/N, K/D, K/J...as long as they're well written, that's all that matters. Which reminds me: have RESPECT for your work and proofread (and don't spell "you" "u" or any other retarded junk like that that...) Have RESPECT for your fellow authors and don't flame--critism constructively instead. Cheers :) Saphron |
