![]() Author has written 5 stories for Fairy Tail, and High School DxD/ハイスクールD×D. 07/22/17 - Holy heather, it's been what--3 years? I know you're all ready to throw those size 12 shoes at me, and I honestly can't blame you. It's been an awful while since I last opened my account, and I see that it's flooded with loads of pleas and protests over my unfinished stories. I'll just address those messages in this post to keep it short and easy to understand (as if I'm good at that). First and foremost, I am sorry. I'll also take this chance to say that I AM NOT DEAD, thank you. Anyway, what was supposed to be a two month break from writing way back then, ended with me focusing on my academics and other RL-related stuff. It was your typical case of writer's block; what used to be 1000 words a day ended up becoming 100 words a week. Some stuff led to other things, and everything just began piling up so much that I had to take a definite hiatus from writing. And that was some two years ago. The days passed by with me not being able to spend time with my beloved writing. I did write a couple of different stuff unrelated to fanfiction. A year later, I had started missing this aspect of life, so I began pitching in a couple of words to my stories again. I also started a legit one-shot which should've been released on Halloween. However, a few months after that; I had become so interested in an original story setting (or 2 at that) that I had to put aside fanfiction again. A year after finally organizing my original story(s), I had to stop in order to focus on my undergraduate thesis. So yeah--I have been writing, but I had to jump between different kinds that I ended up being so burnt out, I swear my soul's probably pitch-black by now (if it isn't already). I recently finished my Bachelor's degree thanks to that, and am now working as a responsible adult (lol). But I'm pretty sure you're all asking--Am I going to continue my stories? Well, part of the reason why I tried to veer off from fanfiction was because my love for the source material (Fairy Tail) had been slowly deteriorating in these three years. In my opinion (and maybe yours as well), Fairy Tail has been sucking more and more with every passing chapter. With the culmination of the series and the unsatisfied thirst that I still have with me, I have finally made a concrete decision--That is, I will turn my version (the Ascalon series) into a waaaaay more awesome medium which will hopefully drown out the original (and the mess that it had turned into). So yes--I will continue writing fanfiction. Though I can't promise concrete dates of new releases, I will TRY to balance writing with my non-writing related work and RL activities. I have already planned out the story events from way, way back; all I need is to put those into words and publish it. BUT--I'll do those once I edit and re-organize the published chapters and stories first. I want to take the time to clean up the mess I made as an easily excitable, pubescent teenager; in order to give you the best I can offer. As for SFAW, I'm thinking of continuing that one after DxD is finished. I want to focus on Ascalon, but not before I finish RFAD--this one's already long overdue. Again, I am sorry and please be patient with me. To the readers and supporters who have been with me so far, thank you very much for sticking with this unworthy author. You guys are the reason why I will persevere and continue this writer's fate. Till next time. |
