It's Been a While...

I've been enjoying about eighteen months of writing for myself and have finally finished a story (needless to say, I've spent most of that time NOT writing), so I'm finally back. I'm hoping to continue writing, although I have decided I won't post a story until it is done. I don't want to get to a point where I feel like I have to write and I also hate it when I regret something I wrote later on because of how the story is progressing. So, you can expect some periods where I'm not posting, but I'll keep this profile up to date with what I'm working on.

What I'm Working On

I'm currently finishing the polish on my story Ripple Effects as I post it. There are seventeen chapters, plus a prologue and epilogue, so it will take me 17 weeks to post (prologue and epilogue get posted with a chapter).

I'm also slowly working on a sequel to Thin Line tentatively entitled Where the Truth Lies. It'll be my craziest ride yet, but it's still in the very early stages so don't expect it for a while.

About Me

I'm moving into the years when I should be worried about finding a good mid-life crisis, but still haven't even decided what I really want to be when I grow up, so I guess I need to do that first, huh? In the meantime, I work as a web developer, am trying to get into dating finally (part of being an adult I guess) and getting over my former status as "hopelessly single". I used to volunteer as an EMT (hence the nickname which is short for ambulance driver) but had to give it up due to injury (getting old sucks). So now my hobbies are writing and genealogy.

About My Writing

I've been writing fan fiction for something like 16 or 17 years, on and off. I started in the Xena fanfic world way back in the late 90s and early aughts. For a while I even hosted a "First Time Index" site full of links to stories when Xena and Gabrielle first hooked up. But I soon got distracted with other pursuits and didn't find another interesting fandom to write in for awhile.

So I stopped writing for a few years before coming back in 2009 to write some stories in the Otalia (Guiding Light) fandom (some are posted on my livejournal site: ). Now I've moved on to Grey's Anatomy and am posting here. Only my Grey's fiction is up here at . Should any of my stories ever get removed from here because of content (I try to play by the rules, but occasionally might push the boundaries), you can find them on my livejournal site.
