Bianchi:

Will’s ancestors are from Etruria before moving to Bern where they received the last name Bianchi because their hair was white in color. In Bern they built House Bianchi and built up a reputation of being the only house that wasn’t corrupted out of all of the houses of Bern.

Bern Politics:

Bern politics change over the years with the King but corruption was always a part of Bern’s politics but it slowly grew over the years. Long before King Desmond became king it was decided that only males could be heir to their house when their father died. While not a rule it was a procedure concerning heirs to Bern’s Lords.
