I've officially been an active peruser of this website for over nine years, nearly half my life. Horrifying to realize, but not quite as horrifying as the quality of my fics below. Really curious about where I've been? 2009 blurred a series of not-so-fortunate situations and not-so-right choices into a madcap sort of adventure treading the line between tragedy and comedy. It was awesome, and awesomely bad. I restarted the following fall at a brand new school with a slate more blank than ever, and all fell together miraculously splendidly uncannily well. Everything is roses now, especially because I've started reading again (spurned by an aggressive two-semester lecture series on American military history, believe it or not), and intend on enter the great big world outside academia next January.

Fandom-wise, you can find me still lurking around my old haunts, though I've had this falling out with HP that anchors me in next-gen only, and I'm largely dissatisfied still. Y'all can only imagine the spasms I had every episode of Gossipgirl when they made my little crack!ship that could into a reality through S4 & 5, but I doubt I'll have much fervor for the last season now that the writing assassinated Blair Waldorf badassery and descended into general uber-suckiness. After watching the first episode of Game of Thrones to spite my drunken boyfriend, I found the Song of Fire and Ice series and it has sucked me in, deeply. Almost surprisingly, MTV took advantage of my feverish & couch-bound self this winter and hooked me with their little show Awkward., and I'm eagerly anticipating season two while reppin' team Jake, yo. RPF remains my guiltiest pleasure, and I still lust for more quality there while recognizing it should probably be illegal, or something.
