What started as just a simple fluffy fic, has turned into so much more, for me at least. Though fluffy, and not without its charm and comical moments(I hope) there's quite a serious undertone to this story that will come into play much more. There's a side of James that I think is honestly just writing itself, one that I haven't seen around much. So just what IS this story about? It's about Lily, it's about James, and it's about the people in their lives, pure and simple. It is NOT a MWPP, which is why you won't see plots that revolve around them. It's not entirely canon, and slightly alternate universe for that reason. It's not a love/hate, and Lily and James were not best friends for years. It's just...them. Growing and loving and changing each other while falling in love. Voldemort will mostly likely not come into play, and I don't know if I will write this until their deaths, or even until the birth of Harry. Lily's best friend is NOT James's sister, or dating Sirius or Remus, nor will she ever do so. It's not a mystery, horror, or parody. It's a romance; it's a drama; it's a story about life and love and the things we must give up in order to be successful in both. It's not all happy, nor is it completely angsty. It is what it is and I'm sorry if that's not a sufficient enough summary. Though this is my second fic, I think of it as my baby more than the first, for reasons I can't quite explain.
