Hello! I'm relatively new to the world of fan fiction, but I've been writing for a long time. I began writing for pleasure as a child, and I've most enjoyed poetry and non-fiction/journaling/travel diary type writing. I've always had a strong desire to write fiction, but I tend to be very self-critical and can have a hard time getting started with a project. Recently, inspired by (finally!) reading Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games trilogy, I'm trying my hand at fan fiction to further develop characters, plots, and themes that I fell in love with but wanted so much more from.

By day, I teach language arts (literature, writing, grammar, vocabulary) at a private middle school. My favorite books that I teach are The Giver by Lois Lowry, The Miracle Worker by Charles Gibson, and anything by Shakespeare. I also teach an after school drama class, and I hope to start a poetry club next year. I also love teaching grammar, and welcome any grammar questions other writers may have.

I live in California with my fiance, Alex, and my orange tabby cat, Peanut.
