Author has written 10 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Warehouse 13, and Wynonna Earp. Greetings to all those who enter here! I've been in and out of the fanfiction community for quite awhile now. My first writing was on an old (long since retired) Harry Potter message board. Most of my fanfiction experience is with books and TV shows. I dipped into reading original fiction for awhile, but it's pretty hit-and-miss, especially with characters. I have six works now: four completed one-shots, two short in-progress fics, and a much longer in-progress fic. All but one are Willow/Tara, since they're my OTP, but I might eventually branch out more. I'm definitely sticking to femslash, though. I just need to find some more characters I really want to write about. I've been watching a lot of newer stuff lately, and like much of the Willow/Tara fandom, I'm being slowly lured into the WayHaught ship. But I occasionally toy with other ships as well. It changes by the week. I did end up posting a Bering&Wells episode tag, so I guess anything's possible "Turtle," "'Tis the Season," and "Extra Flamey" are my holiday one-shots. Turtle is this tiny piece about Willow feeling lonely on Valentine's Day in S4. 'Tis the Season is an AU Christmas piece about Tara falling for her best friend. I like the group dynamic in that one, and the concept makes me laugh. Extra Flamey is an AU Halloween fic about having sparks for someone. I like its atmosphere. It just feels warm and cozy. My most recent work is a mid-length one called "Take a Hint." It's basically just a romp, imagining an alternate "Something Blue" in which Willow's Will-Be-Done spell answers her commands to heal her heart by sending her Tara directly. It's expected to have about 18 (short) chapters, of which about 10 are already written. It's posted first on AO3, but I'm cross-posting here. I think it's a cute idea, but I'm not taking it super seriously. It takes a little influence from the rom-com "Serendipity," but nothing direct. "Impossible Things" is a goofy Cinderella AU that I frequently forget I wrote, but I do find it weirdly charming in its own way. It's even odds if I'm ever going to go back to it. It mostly only exists because I was trying to break a stretch of writer's block. My magnum opus is "Beer Very Bad." It's rife with awkwardness and angst, but lots of fun parts as well. I enjoy writing it. I'm absolutely gobsmacked by the number of fans it seems to have garnered. It's currently the most followed and most favorited W/T fic on the site! Can you believe that?! (Is it sad that I keep track of these things, or just incredibly vain?) It makes me very happy. When it's finished, I will probably go through and do a full, thorough editing of it, then post it up at AO3. This might include adding a few bonus chapters from content I never found a place for, or chapters to break up big gaps in the timeline. I'll let you know when that's happening. My creativity has taken a beating lately due to some emotional upheaval/bad news I got about my best friend, but I'm starting to recover a little from that. When I get a minute to write, I've been mostly working on BVB and also on some of the projects that will follow it. I do some writing for Wynonna Earp (WayHaught) on my AO3 account that I haven't yet posted here (since I feel like the fandom is more concentrated there), but I may move them over eventually just for the sake of keeping everything together. So 2016 was an absolutely horrific year for me and it took me a devastatingly long time to get back on my feet. I'm mostly back in one piece now, so my main goal is to get BVB finished (REALLY ACTUALLY COMPLETED) so that I can do some proper editing and move it over to AO3 and finally have the ending down. Because you guys, the very very very ending is written, and you guys, it is SO GOOD. Like, it makes me tear up it's so good. So I've got to get there. This colossus of a fic deserves its happy ending. |
