If you're reading this, then you probably know that I'm currently writing a semi-alternate Harry Potter universe where the House of Black is still a force to be reckoned with. I hope that you enjoy my attempts at story-writing, and comments and feedback are always appreciated. As the story has progressed, I've deviated more and more from canon, which I suppose can be seen as the butterfly effect. You can change one tiny thing, but one change can alter the whole world. However, I have tried to stay true to canon-characterisation.

Anyway, 'As Black As Night' is now complete. However, it was only the first book of a planned trilogy for the House of Black.

'As Black As Night' was just the first title that came into my head, to be perfectly honest.

'The Brightest Star' takes its name from Polarius, otherwise known as the North Star and the Guiding Star. It is the brightest star in the night sky, and has been used by sailors for centuries to guide their way across the seas.

'Beyond The Sunset' is a quotation taken from the poem 'Ulysses' by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
