First and foremost, I really appreciated her slight but significant deviation from canon. This was not what would typically be a huge "moment" in Twilight. It seems very small, actually, but in The Stalker, we see Edward's obsessive behavior in a much more -- dare I say it? -- rational light. Riss has Bella feeling as a young woman and daughter of a police chief should rightfully feel when confronted with a stalker who invades her personal space and watches her while she is vulnerable in sleep. But then, Riss also gave us very canon Bella in the character's efforts to understand Edward's vampire nature. It was redemptive, and the whole process of the story spoke to me very strongly of how that can and should work. That, really, love can cover over a lot of wrongs. And it should. The honest conversations that result from the initial point of divergence are clear and communicative and help send this version of Edward and Bella into a healthier relationship. Which, to me, is what "fan fixing" is all about! Great story! "I Don't Believe You" was my Judge’s Choice, and I squealed when I found out that it won overall Judge’s Choice! Congratulations!! I liked that your story was romantic and lemony, yet tastefully written. The scene in the meadow at the end of Eclipse is one of my favorites, so I truly enjoyed this extended version of it. It was also nice to read a story without having to worry about grammar/spelling/punctuation errors, so bravo to you and to your beta. This was my favorite line! Don't worry, Bella~ Charlie was called in to work early and will be pre-occupied for some time due to problems with the traffic lights in town.(I assure you, I know NOTHING about it.) Congratulations once again! ~SydneyAlice u2shay says: I picked Healing Rosalie because it touched me when I read it. The story resonated with me, and I kept thinking as I was reading it that it was something that I would have liked to have read in the original Saga. Rosalie needed a reality check and Esme was the one who provided that logically and sensitively. This story was a nice resolution to the near half of a century of pain that Rosalie had experienced, and I very much enjoyed seeing that resolution come to fruition. katmom says: As I read through the 20 wonderful entries for the SCENE STEALERS CONTEST, this one, THAT DAY HE LIED, kept tickling the edges of my mind. I kept thinking about different sections of it. I loved the way that TwilightMomof Two's Bella held Edward's feet to the fire and held him accountable for his lies and the way that he treated her. She held him accountable for not trusting her love. She didn't just curl up and try to die, she fought to keep her man with her. I loved that! It wasn't a sweet, easy reunion either. They both talked it out, like adults...like the grown up he was supposed to be, like the grown up she had always acted like. TwilightMomofTwo also kept the characters in canon. He was all emo and she worried about her worth...BUT then she chose to fight. Yes, I liked that a LOT! I was thrilled to be able to choose this story as my Judge's Choice in the SCENE STEALERS CONTEST. Thank you so very much for entering and sharing your vision with us! Kathie Shaina...aka Snarkerella...says this about BIOLOGY: As I read all of the contest entries, I took notes on my thoughts, so I could later rank according to my very first impression. Written in the margins beside "Biology" was "brilliant, thoughtful, smart, well written, complete". There are four words of dialogue in your entire entry- unconventional for most, but perfect for this. And for me. There was no emotion left unrealized, and in reality, no words unspoken. I'm so impressed by the impact this short, not quite 1500 word piece had on me, and it was a clear winner for my top spot. Also, as a beta and not writer, I appreciated that there were no errors in spelling, grammar, etc, and that you used such fantastic diction! Great work!
