No, that's not my real name. Although, if it was, that'd be pretty badass.

Random info about me:

I'm female.

I'm Canadian.

I'm a daydreamer. I'm one of those people you often see on public transit with blank expressions, loud headphones, and drool coming out of their mouths. That's usually when my best ideas come to mind too...

I write because it's fun to put thoughts down on the paper - that way, they're never lost in time.

Fanfiction is amazing: it lets us read and write continuations or unimaginable possibilities of our favourite stories; it lets us take our imagination to the heights we'd never dreamt possible; it lets us be as creative as we'd like and to learn and to express ourselves; and, most important of all, it allows all of us to procrastinate at school and at our jobs...

Some of my favourite anime/manga (in no particular order): Hellsing, Berserk, Attack on Titan, Shin Sekai Yori, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's, Angel Sanctuary, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Guyver, DeathNote, Yuri on Ice and many, many others. I also used to love Beyblade when I was in early teens, lol. I also love animated movies such as Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Spirited Away, Vampire Hunter D/Bloodlust, Ninja Scroll, etc.

As you can see I have a wide range of anime likes ranging from completely childish, to relatively-wtf and to mature.

Some of my favourite TV-shows/movies:...okay, too many.

But generally anime fanfictions is what I read about.

My work on fanfiction.net:

"The Kingdom [be]Comes" is the story I'm writing for Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's. It's a strange combination of romance, mystery, drama, comedy and some action (if you count dueling as action). Romance between Yusei and Aki, however, is the main driving point around which everything else is built. The story may seem a bit erratic - jumping from happy, to sad, to violent, to childlike - but that's how life often is, isn't it? Everything is not always dark and depressing or happy and wonderful.

The main pairing, of course, is Yusei x Aki but there are also references to Jack/Carly, Crow/OOC, Yusei/OOC/Sherry, Crow/Aki and Aki/Divine. Those references are not what the story is about, however, and they usually account for flirtations. So I'm not shipping Yusei/Sherry or Crow/Aki, they're just there to make things interesting but the story is still about Yusei/Aki.

It's also rated M which seems strange considering the actual show is basically G/K-rated. But the way I see it, is that I'm writing about older teenagers/young adults...and how many people in that age group would you imagine having their lives rated anything other than M or X? So I basically took the Yu-Gi-Oh characters and transposed them into, more or less, "real" world where there are adolescent concerns, confusions and pains and "mature" situations that most of us have faced during that age. I think it makes it more relatable and more realistic like this. So I'm not just a pervert who likes to write situations with sexual implications and lots of swearing (although that's not a bad thing to be either... .-).

So "The Kingdom [be]Comes" my first fanfiction in ages - my other fanfictions were from the time I was 13-15 and spoke too little English for them to make sense, haha.

The reason this fanfic story came to be was because I, like many other people, completely loved the pairing of Yusei and Aki and kept getting frustrated with the lack of closure in the anime. Especially once the Dark Signers arc ended and it's like completely different writers took over and forgot all about what they've established between Aki/Yusei and Jack/Carly. But it's Yu-Gi-Oh after all and this series would rather have people tortured and killed (or sent to Shadow realm lol) than have two characters kiss. Thus, fanfictions should be expected in a case like this...

Thus, this is how my first fanfiction in ages came to be: “The Kingdom [be]Comes”. I hope you enjoy it and please review!

(If the title of the fanfic doesn't seem to make sense...that's expected and it will be explained in the last chapter. I may also end up changing the title once it's all finished but I haven't decided yet).

I also added a beautiful cover image (where Yusei is hugging Aki, while held back by vines) but it's not mine. If you own this image and would like it removed, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL. But it's such a gorgeous work and I was hoping to use it as it fits with this fanfic. However, I can't claim credit for this image.
