Update – 6/3/2014: In April, I made the decision to bring my 12 year marriage to an end. As a result, RL has stepped in the way of my writing, and probably will for some time to come. The three stories I am working on will be finished, however it may take a while for me to get back to them. I don’t know how long, I only know that I will finish them.

UFO - Most of My UFO stories are set in the original time period (1980's) and are canon based, although I will work subplots into existing episodes if I can do so without contradicting the original plot. (Mission of Mercy, Silver Star) I also use the original production order (found on the UFO Mega-set) for the sequence of events spreading them over a four and a half year period. That would put "Identified" in the early part of 1980 and "The Long Sleep" around May of 1984. The only exception is the episode "The Man Who Came Back" which I have set to occur before "The Cat with Ten Lives". Most of my stories will include a "Historian's Note:" to give the reader a point of reference in the time line.

In addition to UFO, I’m a big fan of other Science Fiction series, like Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Lost in Space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, SeaQuest, and Battlestar Galactica. With BSG, I enjoyed both incarnations, although the remake was decidedly darker than the original, certainly not for the kiddies. I also enjoy reading, well written crossovers, which stay true to both universes. That’s not an easy feat to accomplish. I have finished one crossover, UFO and Bonanza, of all things and I don’t know if it was gifted insight, or sheer luck, but I seem to have stayed true to both universes. (So I’ve been told.) I have a UFO/Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea story in the pipe as well. I hope to finish it one day.

I have also written a concept crossover, which is, taking a theme from another show and writing it into a second. My story, The Bodyguard, looks at the world of SHADO (UFO) set in the mirror universe from Star Trek.

Lost in Space - Since my UFO muse (who bears a striking resemblance to Colonel Virginia Lake) is vacationing in Tahiti, I decided to try my hand at one of my childhood favorites. My friend, Denise, who runs the Sci-Fi Forever Forum, issued a “New You” challenge. Of all the antagonists in sci-fi, no one needs redemption more that Doctor Zachary Smith. As I do with all my stories, I stick pretty close to canon, although I alter certain technical aspects in an attempt to stay within the bonds of current knowledge. This started as a short story, but I see it growing into something much larger, so set the Astrogator on course and Strap in for lift-off.

My LIS story (maybe plural) is based on the TV series, not the movie. To me, and this is only my opinion, the movie missed the boat, when they cast the Robinson family as dysfunctional. The very close husband/wife relationship shared by John and Maureen, the young, yet innocent love growing between Don and Judy, the father/son talks between John and Will, Penny’s growing pains as she transitioned from a teenage adolescent to a young woman. All of these things made the series timeless, in my opinion. I hope my story can do justice to the show.

Gilligan's Island - For those of you who are waiting for me to finish Transitions, hang in there. I've hit a writer's block so I'm putting the story aside for now and working on a new fandom. I will finish the story as soon as my inspiration returns.

Star Trek:TOS- I've written one short story for this classic sci-fi series, centered on the character of Janice Rand. It's too bad she was written out of the series as h er character showed much potential, especially in the episodes Charlie-X, Miri, and, The Enemy Within. I do have a couple more Kirk/Rand ideas floating around in my head. *grin*

JAG - I'm a long time fan of this legal/military series and the romantic in me had always hoped Mac and Harm would get it together, but like most other JAG fans, I was disappointed in the way season 10 was written. I was tempted to write an AU version, but the purist in me wouldn't allow it. (At least not yet. *grin*) For now, my writing efforts will be concentrated here. One of the things that really bugged me about the final season, was how the relationship between Harm and Mac was left in a state of flux. In RL we know that David James Elliot was leaving the show and CBS was considering a spin-off called JAG: San Diego, starring Catherine Bell. I can only speculate that the writers were considering ending the Harm/Mac storyline by a permanent separation. In fact, one could draw the conclusion that the writers were considering setting Mac and Vic up in a UST relationship (God, kill me now!) based on some of the interplay between them in the episode Jag: San Diego. Now that would have totally ruined the series. I’m so happy wiser heads prevailed. I'm currently working on a set of short stories which are meant to make some sense of the events in the final season and set the stage for a planned trilogy Distant Shores. So far I have completed Turning Points, Never My Love, Mending Fences, Chances and Choices, After the Toss, These stories are not "Fix-fics" per say as I do not contradict canon in any way. By adding extra scenes and internal dialogue I hope to shore-up some of the the events in the final season.

Distant Shores - I would like to extend a heart felt thanks to all who are reading, following, or have fav'ed my new JAG trilogy. A very special thanks to those who have left reviews. This story opens soon after Harm and Mac have married and settled in San Diego, and will be written in the JAG tradition we all know and love. You can expect to see a few familiar faces from the past cross paths with our favorite military couple, throughout this three part epic. Get ready for a wild ride!

Dancing on the Edge of Forever - This story idea came to me while writing my Distant Shores trilogy and I am working these two projects concurrently. I was reviewing the episode Fit for Duty and realized the writers had stabbed Mac in the heart once more. Also not liking some of the Mac/Vic interplay in the episodes Straits of Malacca and JAG: San Diego, I decided to try my hand at a Season 10 rewrite. (Yes, the purist in me is crying foul, but, too bad. *snicker* This tale needs to be told. DPB, pay attention, this is how it should have been done!) This story assumes Harm and Mac took some serious steps towards a real relationship after the events in the episode The Four Percent Solution and it also includes the events depicted in my stories Turning Points, and Never My Love. World events in the series will stay true to canon; however, you can expect to see the relationship between Harm and Mac get much warmer than it did before the final episode.
