I’ve been writing since before I was a teenager, poems, stories (many which were disastrous and frankly very embarrassing now I look back on them), etc. I didn’t know about the world of fan fiction until a friend who was obsessed with Harry Potter introduced me to the wonderful world of fictions. Up until that point the idea of writing “what if” stories had never even crossed my mind. Unfortunately, however, once I’d found this new, wonderful world, I couldn’t stop. My first fanfics were based in the world of Buffy; but I quickly became bored with the predictability of her world. My main obsession, for a long time, was Lord of the Rings. Though I still wrote original works, I found fan fiction a great way of easing any lingering writer’s block – the world was already created for me; all I had to do was put these characters into a different situation. Some of my attempts were outright awful, and most likely will never, ever be posted. But then, I hit the wonderful world of Narnia. Of course I’d read the books as a child, but never really thought about writing about the characters So I decided to try it out.
