Well, it is finally time to update this sucker while I have a minute to do so, and since I've noticed lots of clicks from interested readers whom I hate to disappoint. I no longer live in Greenwich Village; I'm all moved in to my new home in Gramercy Park which is only a few blocks away really, but I am quite happy here and hope I don't have to move again... ever! I've come to the conclusion that moving is the most streesful thing one can do, and would be very thankful if I never had to do it again.

Anyway, as you probably already know, I finally found time to finish Hanyou Handbook, and after re-reading the thing I noticed tons of mistakes and typo's that are driving me crazy, so I may have to give it a good scrubbing to clean it up. That's what I get for working too quickly and not using a beta -- no one to blame but myself. I also really want to thank everyone who read and reviewed my story; you were always in the back of my mind when I didn't have time to work on it over the summer, and you put my ass to the fire to get me to finish it. Some of you have already asked for a sequel. I must say that I'm not very good at sequels, however, if I can come up with a decent storyline then I will consider it. The one problem I have now that will keep me from writing is that it is a presidential election year, and I'm going to be quite obsessed with politics till next november -- I've sooo enjoyed these republican debates so far; I can't think of anything as entertaining. It may even be better than an Inuyasha and Sesshomaru fuck-fest. However, I am going to try to do some writing anyway, just to keep me sane.

Other stuff about me: Let's see... I think I'm old enough to be most of my readers mother, for one, and I feel a bit guilty posting all my dirty slash for teens to read, but I don't know how to keep the kiddies out! I write good old-fashioned slash, which I've been doing for many years now, so many that I fear no one knows what the term means anymore, at least not here. I live in NYC where I have been firmly planted for the past 25 years. I have my bachelors degree from The New School in architecture and art history, and my masters from NYU in communications in art.

My greatest current writing inspiration is my dog, a Japanese Chin who looks just like Inuyasha if he were an actual dog. I also have a set of twin, teenage girls (yes, my dog comes first) who want to read mommy's dirty stories, but I won't let them... yet. In fact, they are the reason I started writing this stuff to begin with. After they were born I decided I needed some adult outlet or I would loose my mind from baby talk. Back then, there was no , so I had to start my own fiction site, which became quite popular and probably makes me somewhat of a slash pioneer. This was back in the 1990's when everything had to be hand coded and I had to beta every piece sent to me myself before it could be posted -- ah, those were the days! Needless to say, that got tired real fast, but I kept it going for over ten years and had a great collection of adult, naughty fanfics from all over the world. Now, we have wonderful sites like and all that hard work is done for me, so now I can relax and actually write something again.

How about a word or two about my writing? I only write adult slash, yaoi in manga-speak; it is the only genre I am interested in writing when I write for fun and I doubt that will change anytime in the near future. If it doesn't have lots of gay sex in it, then I couldn't care less -- ha! spoken like a true straight woman! However, I am very serious about my smut and I write from a very strict outline, which will not change no matter how much my readers beg or try to sway me their way. So if you don't like it, then just don't read it. I publish my obsession for others to enjoy because there is a terrible scarcity of good slash fiction. Yes, yes, I know its everywhere, but most of it sucks; in fact, most of it is completely unreadable, so I see myself as providing a very important service to the community.

I don't read other author's stories when I'm writing because I don't want to be influenced by plots, or style, so I'm sorry if I don't get to your story for a while. Also, I don't currently use a beta, so I hope there aren't too many typo's or spelling errors, or just general nonsensical sentences, but please let me know if you find anything weird. I love to hear what readers think of my work, so please do comment -- good or bad, I love to hear it all.

I'm a pretty speedy writer, so readers can expect updates almost daily. For my current story, The Hanyou Handbook, I might find it necessary to edit the explicit sex scenes from upcoming chapters posted on this site, if that happens, then I will always have a complete copy posted at .

A few words on Inuyasha fan fiction:

As my own story has progressed here on , I’ve noticed some very strange reviews and comments about my work. Now, normally this wouldn’t concern me, however, I fear there are too many teenagers reading adult fiction here. One comment I received from an obvious tween mentioned that you can get pregnant from anal sex’! Wow; that was pretty eye opening, and I wrote back assuring this person that this was an impossibility, but no sane adult would think such a thing and that is precisely why teens should not be reading this stuff; they simply don’t understand it. There’s a good reason for the ‘adults only’ warning, but of course, they don’t care.

Another reviewer tried to sound more adult, but clearly had never read anything other than fan fiction… ever. In fact, this person had never even read the manga, but only reviewed by what he/she had learned by reading other fan fiction, which I find pretty astounding. Apparently, this stuff is quite addicting and teens really need to be reading something else in addition to this stuff.

I don’t understand why Inuyasha fans don’t read Inuyasha manga, both teens and adults. I mean, if you’re a fan then why not get as much of it as you can? The reason I find this frustrating is because my story relies on knowledge of Inuyasha canon, and I think a lot of my readers, whether they are enjoying my story or not, don’t understand what’s going on because they lack this knowledge, which is too bad because they would like it a lot more if they knew the whole story as Rumiko Takahashi wrote it. Even if you don’t want to take the time to read, though manga is hardly a tough read, you can watch 'Inuyasha: The Final Act' and get a good idea of how the story ended. It’s available on Hulu in Japanese with English subtitles, so a little reading is still required.

Now I’m not saying that all my readers are stupid or lazy, some of you definitely get it, it’s basically the kids that don’t and I just wish I could keep them from reading it. I doubt I will be posting any more stories to this site because of it and stick to the adult sites from now on; though I will finish this story here to be fair to the adult readers.

Another thing I don’t understand is how some readers have taken fan fiction as another type of canon and don’t want to see anything that strays from it -- this is just completely bizarre! For example, ‘pups’; every single fan fiction that uses mpreg insists on calling the baby a ‘pup’. WTF? I mean, it is cute to call Inuyasha’s baby a pup, but not everyone has to use this and it’s entirely way too overdone at this point. Inuyasha’s mother didn’t call him a pup, and his father calls him “the child” when he’s naming him, so why does everyone use ‘pup’? Even Sesshomaru’s mother calls her son “child”, so enough with the pups in mpregs already! Sorry, these things just drive me crazy and I hate when people don’t try to be a little original. Just because one author had a good idea to use pup doesn’t mean everyone has to use it.

Here’s another good one: a reviewer thought that Sesshomaru had a castle because it’s in almost every fan fiction, but Sesshomaru doesn’t have a castle, as far as we know he’s homeless, poor guy. According to the manga, his mother has a very nice castle in the clouds somewhere, and his father had one that was burned down, but not Sesshomaru. This is another thing that was invented by fan fiction writers, which is fine, but don’t confuse it with canon. I’m sorry, but this is just fucked up, and if you’re going to review something you should at least know what the hell you’re talking about, and the only way to do that is to read the original and don’t assume that the fan fiction is correct. That’s why it’s fan fiction, so that people can expand on the world created by the original author, but it will never take the place of it.

This same reviewer has obviously never read anything else beyond fan fiction thinking that a good story means it has to sound like all the other fan fiction out there. This is more than fucked up; this is sad. That’s what I mean when I say these teens need to read something else -- start with the classics and work your way down to manga, then you’ll know what a good story needs and how it should sound. You just can’t go through life thinking fan fiction is Shakespeare, or Greek mythology. A little expansion beyond fan fiction is a good thing; don’t be so afraid of it. Oh, and stay in school kids.
