Author has written 2 stories for Chuck.

Hello! This is the official WHO ARE YOU challenge page :)

This challenge was concocted as an experiment to see whether it's possible to identify a piece of writing based solely on writing style without any name attached to the piece.

Therefore authors who want to join should have at least two stories or the word count equivalent.

Drabbles, short stories, moments, scenes, ficlets, one-shots can be emailed from Monday 22nd of November, to my personal email which you should be able to find on my profile page as FL :) Or you could just message me and I'll tell you.

The last day for entries is at-the-moment-indefinite (UPDATE: this is a WAY'09 situation and we are running behind schedule, so the dates will have to be changed. Was anyone really that surprised?), which gives you a month to cook up something good.

Half the entries will be posted (UPDATE: When the entries are all received). There will be a period of two weeks for voting and guessing over the Xmas period and New Years; until the 6th of January 2011.

Results will be announced within a week: from the 6th of January to 13th of January (UPDATE: FL's holiday period :P So... yeah).

I am taking comments on the subject of guessing: would you prefer the entries split up into halves, and the identities mixed but given for each half instead of guessing the whole lot in one go like we did last year?

Any suggestions, amendments, complaints, questions, approval?

xx

Guidelines

1. To prevent people being completely transparent because of a either super long or super short entry, it is recommended that the word count be between 800-3000 words. One submission per author.

2. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT discuss your subject matter at all. For this to be fair and completely under-wraps, for the love of god, don’t tell someone what you’re writing or hinting of any kind. This obviously extends to betas- unless they don’t take part in the guessing or writing and are sworn to secrecy.

3. Yes- titles are fine. No-author notes are not. Yes- line breaks will be formatted before they are posted, so don’t worry about that. No- your entry cannot be connected to any existing work. Yes- your entry can be shared with the world under its rightful owner afterward.

4. Please don’t intentionally change your “style” to mislead people. One example: If you write angst- well, write it in a Xmas way (don’t ask me how), or if you write fluff (this theme is perfect for you).

5. Emailing: the attachment should only contain your entry, not your name or extra bits. Please put only your pen-name as the label of your Word document.

I can’t send out mass emails with the silly PM function on , so… yeah subscribe to the WAY thread at Chuck’s Stable of Hos for updates.

Run free and multiply (go tell everyone else).

Have fun! May the anticipation of Xmas be with you :)
