i'm so bad at introductions, guys. it's embarrassing.

HELLO.

i'm clier (rhymes with... fire), just your average college student with a penchant for art and writing. i live in flyover country... you know, that part of america between california and new york that isn't chicago. twenty-one years old... way too old to have as sick and perverted a mind as i do. habits include grumbling, sarcasm, quoting "arrested development" in inappropriate situations (i feel like the boy who found the severed hand!) and nerding it up with the friends.

so, if you haven't already noticed, i only write danny phantom fan-fiction, and of that, i only write vlad/danny stuff. maybe that's kind of a limited scope, but whatever, the world can just deal. anyways, i'll admit that for someone so obsessed with the show, i have a really distant and awkward relationship with it, and by that i mean that i don't think i've watched a whole episode of danny phantom in like... well, at least two and a half years. my problem with the cartoon is exactly that--it's a cartoon... you know, for children--and as a result a lot of the complexities i feel should accompany the characters (especially vlad) aren't fully developed (and in many cases aren't addressed at all). attempting to build those complexities back in to the story is one of my biggest goals with my fan-fiction. now, i'm not saying that all the hardcore gay sex is entirely realistic; i mean, the whole vlad/danny ship has its own set of impossibilities. but done right, i don't think the relationship itself is always so far-fetched. and in any case, it's fan-fiction. so why not dream a little?

and yes, like everyone else here, i'm a total review whore. so please tell me what you think; i don't show these stories to anyone in person and so you're my only source of feedback. anything you can give me would help, even criticism, if it's constructive. all i ask is that you don't flame me--seriously guys, put that anger to some other use. scream into your pillow, do a little dance, chuck some shit out your window, whatever. just don't flame me.
