They say that you need a good first sentence to hook your reader. However, I can't really think of one right now. Sorry ;)

A little bit about me: I am Adam. I like to consider myself a writer, a member of that lucky breed which can turn random strokes into priceless works of art cherished by the literate masses. (Please take a minute to appreciate the wonderful ambiguity of the word 'strokes.' It can mean the strokes of a pen OR key-strokes, as in typing - the two main ways of writing. I am a creative genius. Actually, I realized the ambiguity of strokes AFTER I wrote it, but let's look past that :P) Anyways, I am hopelessly optimistic, and have too much empathy for my own good. As far as books go, I read across the spectrum, although I tend to stray towards fantasy and away from historical stuff. My music tastes range from classic rock to alternative, while eschewing today's popular "rock," rap, and hip-hop (but I don't turn down a showtune now and then ;)). My video game company of choice is Nintendo, and I have a soft spot for puzzle, adventure, multiplayer, and visual-novel games.

I am also a verbivore and a linguiphile, as well as a self-professed linguigenesist (someone who makes up words :P). Some of my favorite words are "huggermugger," "exacerbate," and "spurkle." Wordplay and anagrams are also pretty fun. Oh yeah, I also harbor useless knowledge like a squirrel does nuts. Speaking of nuts, did you know that every president that has faced real or impending impeachment has had a first or last name that is an euphism for male anatomy? There's that knowledge for ya ;)

Oh, and the only reason I like Twilight is because I can rip on it and make some idiot girls very, very angry :D

I would like to apologize for my lack of updates for Twilight Enigma... a little thing is happening called 'One Act Festival," so all my creative energies are focused on a play that revolves around Jello. Yes, Jello. However, to make up for it, I'll present to you the funniest Layton comic I have ever seen (the top one). I just discovered last night that hiimdaisy wrote other comics besides the Ace Attorney ones (Zak Gramarye is a Jerk is my fave, with this as my second fave), and I found it. It was awesome. (Why yes, I have just discovered the hyperlink feature. Why do you ask?)

The Lost Symbol. If any of you remember the "the pyramid hides its secret... sincerely," part, you'll remember that Langdon recalls that the same code was used in a "mediocre thriller" Langdon had read a couple years ago. That "mediocre thriller?" None other than Dan Brown's Digital Fortress! I don't know whether to laugh or be a little mad an author is using the same trick twice, even if its in a self-deprecating way. I did figure this out before Langdon. For the genius that he is, he can be amazingly slow sometimes.

As long as I'm writing about Dan Brown books, let me say that Angels and Demons is definitely my favorite. My second is probably Deception Point, then Lost Symbol and Digital Fortress. DaVinci Code is last, because, well, it wasn't very good. It was a little on the short side, the "clues" were rather reaching, and I didn't really like the heroine that much. Digital Fortress has by far the coolest climax. That was unforgettable.
