I am a fan of Law & Order: SVU and especially of Christopher Meloni as the character of Elliot Stabler but also as Christopher Keller in Oz. Law & Order: SVU doesn't focus a lot on the personal lives of the characters, but every now and then we get a glimpse of their private lives. I know many fans would like to see a romantic relationship between Elliot and Olivia, but I don't see them in that light. They are as close as partners can be, but they each have their own demons and don't belong together. To me, the real story is Elliot's relationship with his wife Kathy. We only get brief looks at their story, so I am taking the opportunity to expand upon it. In my opinion, it's way more interesting when a married couple works to resolve their problems and improve their relationship than to have them go off and start fresh with someone new. Olivia and Elliot would never make it as a couple, but Kathy and Elliot will.

As a recovering Catholic, I can empathize with Elliot's continuing struggles to separate his religion from his job and I hope to address those issues in some of my chapters.
